After a few years of assembling the team, @mmupclan started releasing original music. This is my favorite song of ours “Drugs N’ Groceries” !!! On the surface (the hook) its light-hearted and comedic, but the verses go DEEP! • • I believe this is the first song where I explicitly talk about the benefits I’ve experienced from altering my consciousness and begin to call out the lies and propaganda that sustains the Drug War. We touch on systemic conditions under unfettered capitalism, income inequality, the black market, and mental health, all while encoding the message is a fun song.

On Jan 1st 2010 while having a psychedelic experience listening to @aboveandbeyond I made the resolution to create my own music. 6 months later I had a band, an hour set, and was playing shows. • • As I’ve been thinking about my music, my past, and my purpose, I feel the need to be more vocal about the role psychedelic experiences have played in my journey. I really don’t think I’d be alive, and I for sure wouldn’t be making the art and music I make without the benefits of psychedelic experiences. I realize theres also a certain privilege in who gets to enjoy these benefits because so many people fear the repercussions from unemployment to incarceration. I believe those times are changing, and I wish to be the change I want to see.
