It isn't always just black and white...Sometimes it's black and white...and GOLD.

It was an honour to be part of such an epically enthralling , exceptionally exciting, effortlessly eclectic night, filled with electric energy, endless entertainment and elevated, exquisite elegance.

Thank you @salar.art for the trust and the time. From the beginning of the designing to application, it has been challenging but also full of inspiration, creativity and most importantly lots of laughter. I cannot wait to finish it in a couple months. 🖤🤘

This is the third and the last part of my spring b&w double exposure on 35mm film
Can’t get enough of this one
I guess, it’s my favourite roll at this moment
Couldn’t stop playing with different frame cuts, combining, subtracting neighbouring shots
Will repit myself again, I love double exposure!

PS let the chosen music become my gentle reminder to any one who looks, listens and reads that even though we can capture some moments sometimes (on the camera, for instance), none of these are actually caught All is final and therefore eternally precious
Love you

Sharing some portraits of people from my Vancouver life in b&w from the same film as my self portraits.
Past spring was really good. This film has a lot of images that I genuinely like. I love double exposure! PS Emmanuel, I miss you

HUMAN X NATURE ✨✨ Live body painting competition in Vancouver. Audience voting. A runway that had the whole room talking. A DJ who didn’t let the energy drop for a single second. A dance floor that brought every kind of person together. And underneath all of it ✨real conversations, real connection, real art being made in front of your eyes. This is what we believed when we built this: that art is more powerful when it’s shared, when it’s live, when it’s yours to be part of. Round one at Vancouver Heritage Hall is done. To every artist who poured their creativity into every brushstroke live on stage ✨you are the heart of this.🔥 photo credit to @fraserfocus @cordallman @jerrylumphotography

More photos of my 105 minute bodypaint on @tarracudaa for @glowinvancouver ‘s live body painting competition! 🩵

This look was inspired by the theme Human X Nature. My idea reflects the balance between the human body and the natural world, exploring how even in death, new life is born. 🌹🍃

Never been to any fashion show in my life and have no idea what to expect.

Real time art process, live music, active dance floor… was such a fun Friday night! Which made me think…

The idea of putting art into a real time competition has been a bit controversial for me personally, as I always think good art should not be defined under intentionally rushing settings. Quality and value often comes with decent amount of time and effort.

However after this event, it kind of reintroduced a very important aspect of making art, which is… to simply have fun during the process ✨

If you look at the competition with the tunnel vision to win, that’s understandable. But whenever you win, the external validation just doesn’t encourage you to grow. In contrast, when you apply the expectation of learning, testing your skills to the limit and attempt to have fun during the process, that is more admirable in my opinion. We often focus so much on the current fight, we forget the constant hurdle that is to come.

What a successful night @heritagehallvancouver , organized by the phenomenal @glowinvancouver @nikoo_nikpeikaran Seen few familiar faces, with skillful and talented artists showing off their creative vision. That is part of the reason why I love working in this industry, ways to grow as an artist are truly limitless.

There is a rare kind of magic that happens when people show up with zero expectations and total vulnerability. This past weekend at SFU, I had the privilege of documenting a community that traded judgments for joy and masks for movement.

It felt like being 10 years old again—making friends with the heart first.

From a technical and artistic standpoint, capturing the fluid energy of Contact Improvisation is about more than just lighting and focus; it’s about timing the "flow." Seeing dancers from across North America move like a single river was a masterclass in human connection.

Behind the Lens

A massive thank you to Joni for trusting my vision to capture the soul of this event. Seeing the community heal through sensation and awareness was a reminder of why I do what I do.

I am currently open for new commissions.

Whether you are looking to document a movement intensive, a community festival, or an editorial project that requires a deep, heartfelt perspective, let’s collaborate.

Contact dance is more than movement—it is a practice of "active listening" with the skin. People dive into this practice to find a rare sense of co-regulation, using physical touch and gravity to quiet the mind and return to the body’s natural wisdom.

In this space, we return to the innocence of a child—making friends through a simple, heartfelt "hello" of the body. We move together to remember that we aren't separate, but part of the same flow. Documenting these moments wasn't just about the visuals; it was about witnessing the quiet, healing power of a community that chooses trust over fear.

Documenting the art of human connection.
