So we’re on day two in a row of perfect Devon weather! 🌊☀️🐚 Today we got the ferry over to East Portlemouth Beach ... the ferry steps are only 30 seconds meander from the house! This is our favourite beach, it is the beach my husband has been coming to since he was a baby! We like to stop past @thesalcombedeli for crab 🦀 salads to load into the @thewhitecompany picnic baskets that are by the doors in @salcombehouse and we’re all set for the day! @mummy_mack #instatakeover #SalcombeHouseGuests

Good Morning! We’ve woken up to a beautifully calm and still day after a night of heavy rain ☔️ it feels so peaceful! Maggie’s got the best seat in the house, watching out for any early risers on their boats! If like us you have a furry member of your family, places like @salcombehouse are wonderful! They welcome your well behaved pooches (as do most of the restaurants and shops in town!) After all, they deserve a little holiday too! ☺️🐶 @mummy_mack #instatakeover #SalcombeHouseGuests

Just across the estuary from @salcombehouse is the beautiful East Portlemouth Beach. It’s a deep sandy beach 🏖 with the best views 😍 you can get the ferry over ... or we like to rent a boat and poodle across ... first one to spot the pink house 💗 gets extra penny sweets from Cranch’s! @mummy_mack #instatakeover #salcombehouseguests #Salcombe 🌊⚓️⛵️

Pitchford ⚓️House is in the F T Weekend 💗 - fun spotting our pink house in the pink pages. A big article on the Salcombe property market, though nothing ground breaking to report - the week pound enticing ex pat buyers, Stamp Duty an issue, £1,000+ psf for prime and lots of construction replacing the last century's houses with new. Oddly the @ft_weekend seem to have spoken to every agent operating locally except the oracle herself Harriet of @marchandpetit. I know estate agent bashing is a national pastime but truly the @knightfrank @savills and @marchandpetit people down here are excellent. Maybe there's something in the water.
DM me if you'd like a copy of the full piece.
