Coach Bibeau 🤝 @salemstatelax

Meet men’s lacrosse’s newest head coach, Kevin Bibeau!

Bibeau joins Salem State after serving as the Assistant Cocach/Defensive Coordinator for the Bentley University men’s lacrosse team from 2016-2020 and 2026. During his time with the Falcons, he helped Bentley last season finish with the third-fewest goals allowed in the NE10 Conference at 132 while also coaching NCAA Division II All-American Defensive Midfielder of the Year, Connor Baughan.

Today I officially step away from Salem State Men’s Lacrosse.

When we arrived, our goal was simple: leave the program better than we found it. We wanted to build more than a lacrosse team—we wanted to create a place people wanted to be. A program built on relationships, accountability, hard work, pride, and genuine care for one another. A place where players enjoyed showing up every day, where alumni stayed connected, and where everyone felt they were part of something bigger than themselves.

The wins, records, and accomplishments are things I’ll always be proud of, but what means the most are the people. The relationships built over the years are what made this experience so special.

To every player who came through our program: thank you. While I may have only been a small part of your lacrosse journey and life story, each of you became a huge part of mine. The lessons, memories, laughs, challenges, and moments we shared will stay with me forever. Coaching you has been one of the greatest privileges of my life.

I’m incredibly grateful to the coaches, staff, administrators, alumni, families, and supporters who believed in our vision and helped make it a reality. Together, we worked to build a culture and a program that people could be proud of, and I’m thankful for everyone who was in it with me along the way.

Most importantly, thank you to the players. Your commitment, trust, and belief in what we were building are the reason the program moved forward. You gave far more to me than I could ever give back.

Salem State will always hold a special place in my heart. I leave with immense gratitude, lifelong friendships, and the satisfaction of knowing we helped make this program a place people wanted to be. #RollVikes

Today, Vermont State University Castleton and the MASCAC officially announced that Spartan Lacrosse will join the conference beginning with the 2027-28 academic year.

While we remain proud members of the Little East Conference and are fully focused on the upcoming 2026-27 season, we’re excited for what this opportunity means for the future of our program.

New opponents. New rivalries. New opportunities.

As we continue building Spartan Lacrosse, our mission remains unchanged:
🛡️ Family
📚 Academics
🥍 Lacrosse

We’re grateful for our time in the LEC and look forward to competing at a high level over the next year before beginning this next chapter in 2027.

The future is bright.
