We’re having big fun!

Join us for the first edition of Mutual Attraction. This series will pay homage to all facettes of House. The music we love.

Something between afterwork and pre-party. We’ll be providing drinks and snacks to kick off the night.

We’re thrilled to announce our special guest, Limbic Sis, from the ”Layers“ collective. With her stance in the scene, we couldn’t be happier to have her join us.

Mark your calendars for our first dance at GIRI in Neukölln. Space is limited, so secure your access early!

Event Details:
• Time: 19:00
• Date: May 3rd, 2024
• Access: Available through the link in our bio

The party has just begun.

A Piece of Berlin Art History

"On a warm autumn day in 2009 an artist, a gallery owner and two collectors visited the premises at Bülowstraße 90 for the first time. Impressed by the spacious floor of the old building and the possibilities, these four made a completely unexpected promise – KUNSTSÆLE Berlin was born. This publication now marks the end of the more than 10-year history with texts by the founders and all the information. AANANT & ZOO: a commercial gallery, SALON POPULAIRE: soirées, and KUNSTSÆLE: an institution. Something like that."

On over 900 pages, the thick tome lays out a chronological tour of exhibition-making, starring André Butzer, Lovis Corinth, Channa Horwitz, Friedrich Kunath, Michael Müller, Blinky Palermo, Manfred Pernice, James Rosenquist, Karin Sander, Thomas Scheibitz, Josef Strau, Elaine Sturtevant, Peter Wächtler, and many others. The chronology is complemented by contributions by Geraldine Michalke, Lukas Töpfer, and Ellen Blumenstein, who recall the venue, its discourses, and the individuals who made it what it was. Available at @distanzverlag

KUNSTSÆLE Berlin is now part of the Alien Athena Foundation for Art. We will keep you informed about the upcoming exhibitions.

Excerpts I did for the latest issue of @item_magazin

item Magazin is the student magazine of the department of design and culture at HTW Berlin.
Every year a group of students deal with socially relevant topics and provide insights into projects created during the course of study.

This year‘s issue „strip“ was released with the intention of breaking barriers, questioning privileges and discussing topics such as body positivity, sex work and social norms.

Very happy to have been a part. You can still get a copy via dm @item_magazin or in several magazine stores in Berlin.
