The pieces I wore at my wedding 🤍

I wanted my wedding jewellery, and everything I wore on the day, to be made up of sentimental pieces, things that carried a little bit of family history, vintage pieces I sourced, and some newly made pieces.

My wedding band is my grandfather’s ring, which was also worn by my dad. I also created a piece for my right hand using a diamond from my grandmother’s ring. I wanted the design to feel like something she could have worn herself simple and timeless. There’s something so comforting about wearing a stone that was part of her life.

To wear with my second dress, I chose a beautiful South Sea pearl from Autore Pearls and created an organic setting that hung from my loop-in-loop chain.

My first dress was over 90 years old, a piece I found from the 1930s and fully restored, altered and refined.

I loved that every piece I wore had its own history and story, while becoming part of mine too. 🤍

Endings and beginnings, constant change. Life offers so much of it. Now we wait for the greatest change of all, our new babe, gently guiding me toward stillness and grounding.
