Kenise Barnes Fine Art is pleased to present The Naturalist, a group exhibition bringing together five
artists (Richard Klein, KK Kozik, Sally Maca, Rick Shaefer, Tricia Wright) whose practices engage deeply with the natural world-its forms, systems, histories, and enduring mysteries. Working across drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media, the artists in The Naturalist share a commitment to close looking and material sensitivity. Together, the artists in The Naturalist offer a multifaceted meditation on how contemporary artists act as naturalists: attentive observers, interpreters of living systems, and translators of nature’s complexity into visual form.

August 1 – September 13, 2026
Reception: Saturday, August 1, 4 – 6 PM, public invited
Gallery hours: Thursday – Saturday 11:00 – 5:30, Sunday 12:00 – 4:00

This summer I was honored to donate a painting, along with almost 50 other local artists, makers, individuals and businesses, for a benefit for WyoUnited. @wyounited works to protect every person’s right to access the full range of reproductive health options, including preventing unintended pregnancy, bearing healthy children, or choosing legal abortion. Pregnancy is personal, not political. Thank you WyoUnited for working so hard for this right.
