Our first zodiac got an incredible response and we couldn’t stop there🌛

Because every sign has more layers than one post can capture.
We dove back into the world of AI creators, their creativity and visual language – and here’s Part 2.

Choose the sign of your creativity💫

P.S. Dear AI creators, we obviously have no idea what your zodiac sign is.
We were inspired only by your style and visual language. The rest is pure imagination. Any resemblance is purely coincidental😉

Buzzing to announce I’ve been selected as a judge for The Global Art Directors Club new ADC AI Visual Design, @dreamina_ai category as part of the ADC 105th Annual Awards. 🏆

This one means a lot to me because AI in the creative industry is a conversation that divides people, and right now, the I see lot of people stuck between two polar extremes.

On one side, the AI Doomers, who want no use of AI, with human craft only. On the other, the AI Sloppers. Who are producing work with lazy use of AI, thinking that producing slop at scale, stripping all humanity, and removing all storytelling, emotion, quality and connection from the work.

Take one extreme and you risk being left behind. Take the other and you risk losing everything that makes creative work actually connect with real life human beings (which is kinda the point, right?).

Here’s where I land:

The formula for a new creative idea is taking something familiar and mixing it with something unexpected.

But the formula for a GREAT idea? It’s taking something familiar and something unexpected and putting it through your human lens, your taste, your experience, your story and then holding it up to the world at a point you think its ready to share.

AI isn’t bad... but lazy use of it is.

At its core, it’s just a new tool to wield with creativity. And what it actually means is that the fundamentals of great ideas and great creative work become even MORE important, not less.

When I recently hacked Big Mouth Billy Bass Fish with OpenAI API to interview one of my podcast guests (hey @larsbastholm 👋), the magic of that piece of creativity started with the idea behind it and I used some AI tech to bring it into the World in a way I wouldn’t have been able to before.

So as a judge, that’s exactly what I’ll be looking for. Work where you can feel the human in the loop. Ideas and creative that connects emotionally and have storytelling ability and share-ability. I want to see craft that couldn’t exist without a creative mind pushing the technology further than it was designed to go.

Big thanks to @k_swan at @theoneclubforcreativity for the invite. Can’t wait to get to worth with the rest of the judges 🙏

I had a conversation with Salma Aboukar @salmaaboukarr — the mind behind the Coca-Cola Christmas ad, the IKEA unboxing viral, and a stack of other AI-crafted (after learning about the process at Silverside, “generated” doesn’t do the work justice) campaigns. Short. Sharp. No prompts harmed in the making.

Oh, and this is our first time unleashing the new ADC*talks look. Big thanks to @helloyounique studio for the new style, and huge thanks to @dropaudio_lithuania and @goldenparazyth for the new music theme. Apologies in advance for possibly using the visuals upside down and for butchering the sound by sneaking in the old ADC*talks jingle. Old habits die loud 😅

ADC Talks is initiated by @dizainoasociacija, and its activities are funded by the Lithuanian Council for Culture @kulturostaryba.

@gethapply needed a full bank of launch-ready visuals like yesterday. Instead of cutting corners, we leaned into AI as a production tool, guided by real creative direction.

@salmaaboukarr brought the vision. We handled the creative direction. AI helped us execute faster and smarter, without compromising quality.

The result: a full image library, on time and on budget, built by people who know how to make tools work for the idea.

Still human-led. Still intentional. AI didn’t replace the creativity. It amplified it.
