This week I completed my final surgery after being diagnosed with breast cancer on December 31, 2025.

Seven months later, I can finally say fuck cancer. I did it 🩷

When I was 23, I found out I carry the BRCA2 gene, which runs in my family. Because I knew my risk, I started screening early. During my annual breast MRI in December, an area of concern led to an ultrasound, biopsy, and ultimately a breast cancer diagnosis. We caught it early, and I am forever grateful.

The last seven months have been filled with an egg retrieval, double mastectomy, TC chemotherapy, reconstruction surgery, more appointments than I can count, cold capping, limb icing, freezing cold hair washes, brain fog, and learning to surrender control.

Cancer is hard. Chemo is hard. And you really don’t feel like yourself.

But somehow, through it all, I found a new version of myself that is stronger, more patient, and more grateful than I was before.

I decided to share this journey, because if even one young woman receives this diagnosis, I want her to know she’s not alone. Having someone your own age to chat about the process with is invaluable. If this is you, my inbox is always open.

If there’s one takeaway from my story, it’s this: talk to your doctor about genetic testing.

To my incredible family and friends- thank you for carrying me through this, especially my parents @moiseem and @carolannblinken. Thank you for flying back and forth between NY & LA countless times with me, sitting through every appointment, making me laugh, and taking care of me when I couldn’t take care of myself. You made even the hardest days feel full of love.

@leannecitrone thank you for being my hair fairy. @drelisaport thank you for holding my hand before surgery and telling me everything was going to be okay. To the incredible teams at Mt. Sinai, The Angeles Clinic, and 740 Park MD- thank you for taking such extraordinary care of me.

Here’s to health, healing, and never taking an ordinary day for granted 🩷
