Tim Curry… I never met you, but I’ve been in your presence twice: once last February with Peaches Christ in SF, and once in October 2015 for a theater dedication with Lou Adler & Sal Piro in LA. Thank you for these memories, I will cherish them forever. And thank you for changing my life with your incredible performance as Dr. Frank-N-Furter. Rocky Horror absolutely blew my adolescent mind and there was no turning back. I literally have “Don’t dream it, be it” tattooed on my ankle, and I have performed as Frank-N-Furter countless times. You were an incredible actor with mind blowing range that spanned well beyond Rocky: Clue, Fern Gully, Home Alone 2, It, Wild Thornberries, Legend, the list goes on and on. The world lost a beautiful soul today. A bagel, a biscuit, a poptart… a toast, to absent friends. 🍷

ROCKY HORROR 🫦
" ROCKY HORROR LIVE "
In November of 1980, I had the privilege of seeing
Sir Richard O'Brien's infamous stage production of
" Rocky Horror " live. When I found out that the stage production of Rocky Horror would be playing at the Warner Theater in Washington, DC, I knew I had to be there. Here's the original cast playbook, ticket stub, and the blurb ad & critics review of the show.
It was insane seeing " Rocky " live, sitting in the front row and not knowing what was actually about to happen 😳
They warned us before the performance that this wasn't the movie and that we shouldn't shout the usual lines from the film experience at the live actors.
Unfortunately, people still interrupted the show more than once.
It was definitely worth seeing live. Just for the experience. It was actually the first play I'd seen.

RICHARD O'BRIEN 👄
THE ROCKY HORROR OFFICIAL POSTER MAGAZINE
Volume 1. Number 2.
Bless you, Richard, for setting all of us little' weirdos free. 💜
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, RICHARD O'BRIEN 🎊 🎊 🎊 🎊
Thank you for sharing Rocky Horror with us. You demented genius you.
Saw " Rocky " 100's of times in the theater, back when there wasn't any home video or streaming. I witnessed the stage play in 1980 at the Warner Theater in Washington, DC. I even did my senior year english report on the Rocky Horror Show fandom. 😳
I first read about Rocky Horror in 1975 in Forrest J. Akermans, " Famous Monsters, " but it took me until 1979 to lose my Rocky Horror " virginity " when I first saw The Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Skyline Plaza Multiplex in Baileys Crossroads in Arlington, Virginia and my life was never the same.

⚡️ SHOCK TREATMENT⚡️
" SHOCK TREATMENT " 😲

Sir Richard O'Brien is an absolute genius 💯
Not only did he give us the Immortal Masterpiece that is " The Rocky Horror Picture Show, " but he then turned around and looked at society, saw where it was headed, and gave us a master stroke of a sequel. Once again, finding our heroes Brad & Janet in constant peril. This time caught in a mad cap satirical world of reality television 📺 and its strange cast.
When Tim Curry refused to return for a sequel to Rocky, Richard O'Brien had to go back to the drawing board to create this, not a prequel, not a sequel, but an equal. Equally bizarre, and equally rockin.
Staring Sir Richard O'Brien. Patricia Quinn. Little Nell.
and introducing as our unflappable couple Brad & Janet, Cliff DeYoung & Jessica Harper.
It's quite the kinky comedy 🤣 😆

THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW 🫦
" FRANK N FURTER "
Artist Unknown.
This was the inside page from a film review magazine article about the Rocky Horror Picture Show and Tim Curry and Richard O'Brien. I believe from the late seventies or the early 80s.
