this past weekend i spent it at the GAN Southern Championship 2026. i got a PR single in 3x3 (8.83), PR single in 2x2 (3.38), and finally got my first sub 20 one-handed average in comp (18.11). also got to meet the goat himself, Matty Hiroto Inaba 🤝

1-6. 3x3 one-handed 18.11 PR average: 19.47, 16.39, (DNF), (16.08), 18.48 - (previously 20.23 average)

7-8. 4.03 2x2 single and 3.38 PR single (previously 4.03)

9-10. 9.61 3x3 single and 8.83 PR single (previously 9.39)

11-12. 15.95 and 16.11 3x3 one-handed singles

13. 9.07 3x3 PR2 single

had an absolutely great time this past weekend competing for DFW Cubing Summer 2025.

1. i broke my 3x3 PR single bringing it down from 9.98 to 9.39

2. i broke my 2x2 PR average bringing it down from 4.39 to 4.03

3. i got to finals for 3x3 one-handed and ended up placing 9th out of 67 competitors

4. i broke my 4x4 PR average TWICE bringing it down from 1:09.93 to 1:07.91 and later again to 1:05.47. additionally, i broke my 4x4 PR single TWICE again bringing it down from 59.01 to 57.17 and later again to 53.50

5. i broke my 3x3 one-handed PR single by OVER 8 seconds, bringing it down from 18.36 to 10.27!!! this was completely unexpected. that single places me at top 12 in the CubingUSA state rankings for fastest one-handed single time in Texas.

i had so much fun. although i didn't quite achieve everything i had hoped for, i achived more than what i could've asked for. looking forward to many more comps and beating new records!

i haven't competed in over a year bc of things that come up unexpectedly, but i'm glad i got to have fun today. here are a few of the highlights from today

1. best 3x3 single: 10.49
2. best 2x3 single: 3.66
3. best 4x4 single: 59.01(PR)
4. best 3x3 one-handed single: 19.28
5. best 3x3 average: 11.44 (PR)
6. best 2x2 average: 4.58
7. best 4x4 average: 1:09.93 (PR)
8. best 3x3 one-handed average: 20.30 (PR)
9. 3x3 PR single fail (would've been 9.65)
10. 3x3 PR single fail pt 2 (would've been 9.45)

anywho, overall a good comp. that 9.98 PR single is getting broken soon 🥸
