Had a great time at the Campus-Wide Scavenger Hunt, with the @saltdenton folks. Was a very chaotic but fun night…

A year ago today, I hopped on a plane with a one-way ticket to a state I’d never been to.

The Lord is SO faithful and gives abundantly, and here’s a few pics that remind me of that. I love it more here every day!!!!

Our Salt Company staff teams from across the country gathered together over the past few days to learn & grow (and have some laughs, of course). Thank you, @doxamadison for hosting us!

It’s always such a joy when we’re all together 😌 more to come!

First Year of College; Seasons 1 and 2

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” -Jeremiah‬ ‭29‬:‭11‬
Sometimes the plan is not ours to know, and praise the Lord for that.

“You are sent!” A phrase I heard pretty much every Sunday and Tuesday for the last 5 years of my life. This is Redeemer’s motto: that we are always being sent back to our day-to-day lives to be an image bearer for Jesus. It also means that you are not safe from being sent to a new place to live out the purpose that God has for you, and that reality was one that I didn’t realize would come for me so soon.

@redeemerlubbock has been my home away from home since I came to Lubbock for college in 2021. It is where my dimmer switch finally turned on and I began to follow Jesus truly for the first time. It’s a place that has seen me laugh harder than ever, shed lots of tears, wrestle with the Lord, feel the presence of the spirit, and so much more. It has reminded me that devotion to Jesus above all else is of utmost importance. It’s the first place I confessed my sin & a need for Jesus, sought accountability, experienced life-altering vulnerability & gospel transformation. I will never be able to thank God enough for all of the ways his character was shown to me through the people/culture at Redeemer.

Working on the college staff has been the most joyful experience in my time in Lubbock. I’m a better leader & follower of Jesus because of this staff team and church as a whole. To say I am sad to leave is truly such an understatement. However— I’m saying goodbye to this and hello to the next thing the Lord has asked of me!

Starting in July, I am going to be working on the college staff at @saltdenton to reach the college students at the University of North Texas & Texas Women’s University! The Lord used college uniquely to draw me to himself and my work with college students isn’t done yet! Thank you Lord for the joy found in obedience. Thank you Lord for Lubbock & the ministry happening at Redeemer Church. All to you I owe!

Year one of Salt Company in the books!

Never would I have thought that a random trip to Missouri back in October would result in discovering something that would change my life forever. I can’t put into words how much this community has meant to not just me, but the city of Denton. God is moving in Denton and can’t wait to see what else he has in store! I could go on and on, but if there is one thing I would say, it’s to let go and let God. He will shape you, and guide you to EXACTLY where he wants you to be.

Can’t wait to see what God has up his sleeve in year two 🙌
