✨The Toast, The Cake, The Tattoo✨ 📸 @loganwalkerphoto @peppernix Planner: @nixevents_co We skipped asking others to make speeches and made our own. Jake opened with sharing about all the unbelievable work he put into making this venue and the vision we have for our land. Months and months every single day out there. But he was humble about it, I brag about it. I had something a little different planned… I wanted to include my late father, my kindred spirit, in this day and for months I wondered how I could. I decided to tell a bit of a story, a bit of what he taught me about love. My dad and I loved dancing together. When he was past chemo’s effectiveness and into the liminal phase, we had the idea of recording our first dance together that I could play at my future wedding. The next day, our home burned down, he fell, he landed in the hospital, he died a week later. The video never happened. What our dance would have been to was Jump For My Love by The Pointer Sisters, famously danced to by Hugh Grant in Love Actually. My dad loved that movie and we’d get up and do the dance every time (pictured here 🥰) While I spoke of him, wine was poured. And not just any wine, his wine. His beautiful Napa Valley Cabernet Bordeaux blend (yes, I grew up with wine). It received a 94 from the Wine Spectator if you also know about wine. Xtant. Meaning forever in existence. A name that meant something to him. But the irony I shared was, this was the last of his wine and I know there would be no better way to honor him than for everyone to toast us, to him, to love, at my wedding with the last of his beloved wine. I watched my friends tear up and toast him. Knowing what this meant to me. I watched Jake’s friends who hardly know me let alone my dad, raise a glass in his honor. In that moment, I took my first sip of alcohol in 14 years, but it was beyond any personal belief, it was loving my dad in his favorite way. A moment for L Vosti. Thank you to everyone for being with me in this moment. I know it moved many of your hearts too ♥️ I want to thank @bayleesbakery for making my dream wedding cake! What flavor do you think we went with? A moment for the cake, ple

✨The Reception✨ Part II The grand entrance as husband & wife 📸 @loganwalkerphoto @peppernix Planner: @nixevents_co Crystal Pete made his debut! He carried some magic in his baskets 🧚🏼‍♀️🦄 Thank you @mariposaon25th for his adorable flower crown gift! Framing this The Burro Bar! Separate post on how Jake built it coming soon. Already has two weddings lined up next month. Our custom mocktails, see what we did there? 🍹 Mocktails by @salud_event_bartending The Sweetheart Chair. Jake restored one of Powder Mountain’s original red chairs that he grew up riding 🏂 Cute selfie with my cousins! Our family is growing in the right direction ✨✨ This is how mothers of the bride feel about our wedding planner, Samantha ♥️

✨The Reception✨ Part 1 We officially have an amazing, huge teepee in our meadow. I have a whole other post coming for how we built it because it was a special ceremony. 📸 @loganwalkerphoto @peppernix Planner: @nixevents_co My favorite picture with my girls! “Alpine Lemonade” — lemonade infused with herbs Signature welcome drinks by @salud_event_bartending Personalized directions 🙅🏼‍♀️ I bought one of these phones! So worth it and will absolutely use at other events. We LOVE the voicemails everyone left! Polaroids>guestbook Take a selfie and write a little love note on it. String it up and share the love. These turned out so cute, we’ll cherish them forever! You read our love story on posters as you strolled through the meadow to the ceremony while sipping Alpine Lemonade. Our favorite local artist performed (who was also part of our engagement in the meadow!) thank you @fruityasfolk !! @tellurianevents seamlessly wove florals into our meadow for our ceremony. She created two half moons surrounding us while people sat in circles around us. We wanted to create a feeling of intimacy and immersion in an enchanted meadow with a 360 degree view. Thank you @northogdenflowerfarm for providing the most stunning blooms! The butterflies approved. Alpine Butterfly vibes were strong that day 🥰 Some of the best dressed. They understood the theme: “Celestial Western” ✨ The babes lounging in our vintage couch living room. And enjoying the grass Jake and I planted by hand—turned out perfectly 🫠 My favorite photo of Jake with his guys! Western is such a good look, ladies… Our wonderful friend, @lifeargonaut , secretly passed around a journal that our friends wrote the most beautiful messages in. We loved randomly finding this at the end of the evening! A shot of the whole venue we built! Our meadow was an overgrown motocross track that Jake single handedly leveled, designed, built, and replanted himself. We can’t wait to host more events back here!
