Eine schöne Erinnerung an dieses Frühjahr. Der Aufenthalt an Sardiniens Ostküste mit seinen Flusslandschaften am Meer hat mich nachhaltig fasziniert. Die Abendsonne mit ihren Spiegelbildern und den Sonnenreflexen in den Gebirgsketten im Hintergrund sind Bilder, die mich wahrscheinlich in absehbarer Zeit wieder auf diese wunderschöne Insel ziehen werden.

A beautiful memory of this spring. The stay on Sardinia's east coast, with its river landscapes meeting the sea, has left a lasting fascination in me. The evening sun with its reflections and the sun glints against the mountain ranges in the background are images that will likely draw me back to this beautiful island in the near future.

And beau souvenir de ce printemps. Le séjour sur la côte est de la Sardaigne, avec ses paysages de rivières et de mer, m'a durablement fasciné. Le soleil couchant avec sees reflets et les éclats solaires sur les chaînes de montagnes en arrière-plan sont des images qui me pousseront probablement à revenir sur cette magnifique île dans un avenir proche.

There are encounters that make us smile.

And there are encounters that make us reflect for hours.

I used to think this had to do with the other person. Today I know: this silence is trying to tell me something.

It asks me if I truly felt seen in that friendship.

Whether I was able to listen—and whether I, too, was heard.

Whether I made myself small to maintain harmony, or whether I was simply able to be myself.

Over the years, I’ve come to understand that not all friendships are meant to last forever.

Some people accompany us through an important stage of our lives. They’re part of our story, but not necessarily part of our future.

However, this doesn’t diminish what once was. It shows me that we can change.

The more aware we are of our lives, the less habit and the past will determine who remains in it. Instead, our heart decides what continues to feel right.

Healing changes our perspective on relationships.

Suddenly, it’s no longer enough to have known someone for decades.

We long for authenticity, interest, appreciation, and people who not only know our wounds but also rejoice in our happiness.

I believe this is one of the most valuable—and at the same time, most courageous—signs of inner growth: no longer clinging out of habit, but feeling honestly.

Who nourishes my soul?

And who constantly reminds me of the version of myself I left behind long ago?

Sometimes, letting go isn’t the end of appreciation, but rather a deep gratitude for the journey we shared and the courage to continue on our own path.

Because true friendship isn’t measured by how many years it has lasted, but by how you feel when you come home.

📌 Merkmale
Der Seidige Glanzrüssler ist ein auffallend schöner Rüsselkäfer mit einem leuchtend grün bis türkis schimmernden Schuppenkleid. Sein länglicher Körper, der kurze Rüssel und die feinen, metallisch glänzenden Schuppen verleihen ihm ein fast edelsteinartiges Aussehen. Mit der Zeit können sich die Schuppen abreiben, wodurch ältere Tiere bräunlicher wirken.

📏 Größe
5–7 mm

⚧️ Geschlechterunterschied
Weibchen sind meist etwas größer und kräftiger gebaut als Männchen. Äußerlich sind die Geschlechter ansonsten nur schwer zu unterscheiden.

🌍 Vorkommen
In weiten Teilen Mittel- und Südeuropas verbreitet. Er besiedelt Waldränder, Hecken, Gärten, Parks und lichte Laubwälder und hält sich bevorzugt auf Sträuchern und Laubbäumen auf.

🌿 Lebensweise
Die Käfer erscheinen hauptsächlich von Mai bis Juli und ernähren sich von den Blättern verschiedener Laubgehölze wie Eiche, Hasel, Birke oder Buche. Die Larven entwickeln sich im Boden und fressen an feinen Pflanzenwurzeln.

✨ Funfact
Der intensive Grünglanz entsteht nicht durch Farbpigmente, sondern durch winzige Schuppen, die das Licht strukturell reflektieren – ein faszinierendes Naturphänomen, das den Käfer je nach Lichteinfall unterschiedlich schimmern lässt.

📌 Merkmale
Die Gelbe Dungfliege ist leicht an ihrer goldgelben, dichten Behaarung und den kräftigen Beinen zu erkennen. Ihre großen, rötlich schimmernden Augen und der kompakte Körper machen sie zu einer auffälligen Fliegenart.

📏 Größe
6–11 mm Körperlänge.

⚧️ Geschlechterunterschied
Männchen sind deutlich größer und kräftiger gebaut als Weibchen. Außerdem besitzen sie längere Beine und eine dichtere Behaarung, während Weibchen meist etwas schlanker wirken.

🌍 Vorkommen
Weit verbreitet in Europa und großen Teilen Asiens. Sie lebt bevorzugt auf Weiden, Wiesen und an Waldrändern – überall dort, wo Weidetiere vorkommen.

🌿 Lebensweise
Erwachsene Gelbe Dungfliegen sitzen häufig auf frischem Dung und warten dort auf Beute oder Paarungspartner. Sie ernähren sich räuberisch von anderen Insekten. Die Larven entwickeln sich im Dung und tragen so zum natürlichen Abbau organischer Stoffe bei.

✨ Funfact
Trotz ihres Namens frisst die Gelbe Dungfliege keinen Dung. Sie nutzt ihn hauptsächlich als Kinderstube und als Treffpunkt für die Partnersuche – ihre Nahrung besteht überwiegend aus anderen Insekten.
