With all of the pink and Barbie happening at the moment we thought we’d bring a little bit of balance, a little bit of beige, back to your lives 🤎🧡

A super fun day in the studio with @matterialist styling up some outdoorsy looks. Shall share the actual photos soon butttt you should hire us as your stylist/photographer duo for your shoots, just sayin. 👀

Sam in his Garden Kimono - he won’t mind me telling you that he has worn this one a fair few times and it has featured in his style vids and photos on here. Sam is an advocate for slow fashion and a very talented photographer and his account is one of the joyful ones! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Every week I am extremely lucky to have the opportunity to enjoy conversations with creative professionals.

The conversation I found most fascinating this week was with Sam Binstead. I spent the morning with Sam on Wednesday having new portrait photographs taken in his central Sheffield studio, accompanied by his lovely dog Lill.

Our conversation on Sam's work focused on the ways in which 'slow' has infiltrated the many facets of his work and life:

'I try to let ’slow’ find it’s way into everything I do, whether that's my photography work, my wardrobe, my food etc. Sometimes that can be through a forced medium (ie. shooting film and removing the opportunity to take thousands of photos in the chance that one will be good), or through actively questioning the rates at which I consume clothing (and annoying a few people by questioning the rate they do too). Boil it down, and for me it’s just about 'less but better’ wherever I can!'

I'm excited to share the photos from our shoot this week but in the meantime if you are interested in Sam's work take a closer look here @sam.binstead

Q - In what ways have you taken a slow approach to your work or life?
