POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Well that’s all folks! After 2 amazing years here in West Michigan my time with FOX 17 has come to an end. When I started here in September of 2024 I had no idea the life long friends and opportunities that would come with this station! From covering my first presidential election, to traveling the state reporting on some of the most important topics, reporting in neighborhoods and telling stories of people from hundreds of cultures, to even winning my first Emmy! There’s so many amazing memories to recall, but some of the best actually happened off air! Building connections with so many amazing people, that I will call friends for life! I don’t know what the future holds but I am happy to say my 2 years here will be remembered for a life time ❤️ thanks to everyone who had apart in it!

you know the saying “all good things must come to an end?” well, friends.. @fox17online was a GOOD thing, but after two years, my time telling stories in west michigan has come to an end.

i made the choice in july to begin a new chapter in cleveland, ohio, beginning in september.

this move, honestly, is incredibly bittersweet. i am so excited to advance my career in cleveland, telling stories in a new market & pushing myself out of my comfort zone, but i’m already missing my FOX 17 family.

FOX 17 gave me my start at just 22 years old. i was a college grad moving back home to michigan, completely unsure of what grand rapids would be, what FOX 17 would be.

and what FOX 17 has become — is a second family.

i have made lifelong friends here. and the memories, i will forever cherish.

i learned what it means to be a journalist here, too.

on my first day, i was intimidated and overwhelmed, trying to mask the fact that i hardly knew how to white balance a camera. but FOX 17 saw something in me, and took the time to invest in me. to my mentors, @joshuaberry__ & @kitkuhne, thank you for giving me the gift of believing in me, and teaching me to believe in myself. in two years time, i’m leaving FOX 17 incredibly grateful for the growth, and its because of the people. a true answered prayer.

becoming the muskegon reporter was a privilege. and finding a second family in the process gave me a great sense of purpose.

since choosing to close this chapter at FOX 17, i can’t help but think how blessed i am to have a “see you later” that’s so hard. it’s a gift. and that’s not lost on me.

so thank you to these people, for everything.

and to my new home @cleveland19news — LET’S DO THIS!!

Went up to Northern Michigan and climbed some sand dunes and stuff. Thanks @sam.landstra for showing us around. If a shot in this video is extra beautiful it’s probably @josiahcp ‘s.
