On top of a phenomenal show, Molière in the Park celebrated my dear friend and hero, Rev. Amanda Ray Hambrick @raisingimagination, honoring her continued work standing up for love and justice and speaking out against religious hypocrisy—themes so powerfully explored in this play.

I had the absolute honor of introducing Amanda to the packed crowd. To stand before that audience and celebrate someone who has stood beside my family through so much was a moment I will never forget.

My husband Allan Michael @i_am_raylandon and I were so grateful to be invited guests. It was a beautiful night we will always remember—surrounded by community, warmth, laughter, and extraordinary talent. 💜💙

🏳️‍🌈HAPPY PRIDE RAMBLE: Jake Lang is a pardoned January 6 rioter and far-right activist who came to Delaney Hall on the first day of Pride Month to burn Pride flags and spread anti-LGBTQ rhetoric. On the first day of Pride Month, while people gathered outside Delaney Hall to stand for justice, dignity, and human rights, he chose to arrive with hate. Standing atop a moving truck, burning Pride flags and shouting slurs, he tried to send a message of exclusion and fear. Instead, he reminded us why Pride still matters. The irony? In the middle of all that anger, he ended up repeatedly shouting, “Happy Pride Month.” So to every LGBTQ+ person, every immigrant, and every person who has ever been told they don’t belong: Happy Pride Month. We belong here, and we’re not going anywhere. 🏳️‍🌈💜 Anyone down to make a remix we can blast it in our cars and bump on the dance floors for Pride?!

We went “lilac bathing” today @nybotanicalgarden after work! It is sooo therapeutic! Lilacs were my mom’s favorite! My grandmother planted tons of lilac bushes in our backyard. So glad we made the effort to go! Very beautiful! Aaaahhhh! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜🐇🐇🐇

Today was a very emotional day. We (my sisters @debraleder Liz @nancy.eder niece @alana.barry and brother in law Brian) went to visit the cemetery where my parents are buried at Beth Israel in Woodbridge, NJ. (Thank you so much, Brian for renting a van and driving us!) I really hate going there! (Sorry, Mom and Dad)!!! But, it was ok. It took us awhile to find their plots. We were all saying out loud “Mom and Dad! Where are you?!! Help us find you!!!” We did find them! Of course! We also said Hi! to the Sachs! (They lived down the street from us and were really good friends!) Then, we went to a great NJ diner afterwards! Tonight, we all (with @sam_penix of course!) went to my sister’s @nancy.eder temple since it was my mother’s yarzheit. We said the mourners’ Kaddish and ended the day with another great family meal at an Italian place down the street from Nan’s. 💖Mom and Dad! Miss you-you crazy meshuganahs!!! 💖Luv u fam! Ur all my people! 😘
