🌟 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫: 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐨𝐧 🌟

We are thrilled to welcome Gareth Stapleton as one of the teachers at Copenhagen Samba Congress 2026! 🇧🇷🇩🇰

Gareth’s samba journey began in 1994, when he joined a workshop with Bosco de Oliveira, one of the pioneers who helped bring samba to England.

In 2006, Gareth joined his first samba school, the London School of Samba, and since then he has been playing, teaching and sharing his passion for samba across Europe. Along the way, he has studied with some of Brazil’s leading samba teachers. 🥁

Today, Gareth is director of Maravilha do Samba and has been Tamborim Director at the Swedish Encontro since 2017. His samba practice tracks receive more than 150,000 streams every year and are used daily by leading dance instructors around the world. 🌍🎶

Gareth has a deep respect for samba’s roots, history and culture. Tradition is at the heart of his work, but so is creativity. Drawing inspiration from musical styles and concepts from around the world, he has developed his own voice within samba while always respecting where the music comes from. Imitate. Assimilate. Innovate. ✨

As a teacher, Gareth is open about his own journey and loves sharing the story behind it all. His workshops bring together technique, musicality and, most importantly, the joy of playing together.

His goal is simple: everyone should leave playing better, and smiling. 🥁😁

We can’t wait to learn, play and have fun with Gareth in Copenhagen! 🇧🇷❤️🇩🇰
