Someone had suggested we try this to other alternative bullet puller for the stubborn ones that the collet can't get a good grip on, so we figured why not. It's always good to have options. We'll see how it goes this weekend. Only way you improve is to try new stuff and not be afraid to learn.

This is why I absolutely love this sport!!!!

Most of the best shooters in the world still understand how to have fun, even when they aren't shooting their best.

Always remember that this is the greatest sport on earth and it's a privilege to shoot with your friends.

Area 8 Stage 10

This stage seemed pretty straightforward until you walked the stage and noticed all the important details in this stage.

The start position was pretty simple until you had to exit. There was a target on the left that you backed out on that was extremely awkward due to the distance you needed to cover to get to it.

Most people I watched shoot this either stopped or got terrible hits on targets backing up.

Taking a large step back, it gave me an opportunity to blend all of the targets together without sacrificing accuracy.

The other big thing about that position was that the wall was extremely tight to the fault line, and most shooters ran into it, turning up range.

This was the stage I shot after having a massive jam.

I could have easily pushed too hard to try and make up time, but I settled in nicely with only 2 Charlie's and the stage win.

Paying attention to the details is where I actually won this stage.

Area 8 Stage 8

This was one of the best stages at the match. It had such great movement.

I'm not usually a fan of forced start position stages but this stage was actually better because of the forced start position.

Area 8 Stage 13

This was one of my favorite stages.

I really had to focus on the footwork and positions of this stage.

There were a lot of small details that made the difference on this stage.

Area 8 Stage 1

This is the type of stage I used to go just full send with no regard for my balance.

Well, in the last few months, I have had some major breakthroughs with understanding how much my body affects the accuracy of my shooting.

I know some people think I'm probably crazy when I say the shooting is the easiest thing we do, but one day, you will understand that the shooting is what holds most shooters back from truly reaching that next level.

This was a really fun and challenging stage at Area 8 this year!

@tomcastroshootingacademy has an answer to any obstacle in a course of fire. Including balance beams. Lots of things to consider on these things and he’s given me the tools to execute them consistently.

Unfortunately I let myself leave the last position on the beam too early and it cost me a mike, which I stopped and admired as I considered going to make it up 🤪. I also unexpectedly turned into a ballerina when I didn’t point shoot the low targets in the back 🩰 . Of course sights on aren’t often a bad thing 😂

Looking forward to seeing some of my squad mates videos cause they were crazy on this thing! 🤣

Area 8 Stage 12

I decided to take a chance on this stage and double up on both activators instead of just the bobber activator on the right.

It paid off, but a single makeup shot cost me the stage win.

It was pretty cool to have the raining Open National Champions approval on my stage run.

We had such a great squad this weekend.

Area 8 has been my worst performing match for 2 years in a row, so I’m pretty happy to break that cycle with 1st Place 🥇 B Class and High Lady PCC.

Congratulations to my friend and Coach @tomcastroshootingacademy for another Area Title. He took high overall PCC by almost 7%!!! #BEAST

Squad was tons of fun and staff were great! Thanks for all your hard work!
