𝟐 𝖜ℯ𝖊𝓀𝖘 𝖆𝓌𝖆𝓎 ~ WED OCT 28TH 🎤 So All May Express open mic and because many people first get in drag during Halloween, this month we want to highlight drag ghouls @smileyscowlz and @queer.reaper )! 🧛🧟

Smiley Scowlz is Denver Demonic Glamour ghoul, they specialize 24/7 in sfx, DIY costume making and anything and everything spooky! You can catch them monthly at All Tied Up Brunch, which they produce at Velvet Lasso every 3rd Sunday, as well as just generally haunting the streets of Denver; with their terrifying beauty they are sure to make you scream!!

The Queer Reaper is a self-certified lovelorn weirdo with a love for frogs and a taste for morbidity. Reaper got their start writing poetry and music with experience playing multiple different instruments professionally before venturing into burlesque and drag. Reaper's art is heavily influenced by Scooby Doo, Barbie, Spike from BTVS, and 90's Jim Henson films.

Come catch the features at around 7:45 (halfway through the mic). Sign-ups for the mic + food ordering start at 6, performances 6:30-9. Join us every 3rd Wednesday (an exception for this month happening on the 4th/last) for comedy, poetry, music, improv, drag, dance, and/or singing, but most of all, community ✨

Last week, Denver’s culinary scene took center stage at Savor the Season, EatDenver’s annual celebration of the independent restaurants and chefs shaping the city’s dining culture.

Set against the creative backdrop of RiNo ArtPark in @rinoartdistrict, each of the three evenings brought together an impressive collection of local talent for a five-course dinner rooted in seasonal ingredients, thoughtful technique, and a distinctly Colorado sensibility.

Participating restaurants on Wednesday's event included @bear_leek, @riojadenver, @diomiopasta and @johnnybechamels, @olivia_pasta, @bistrovendomedenver, @flagstaffhouse_restaurant, @blackbellyco, and @samecafedenver, which presented a fully vegan menu. Colorado craft beverages, such as @ratiobeerworks, rounded out the experience.

Yet each evening’s significance extended well beyond the table. As a nonprofit dedicated to strengthening Colorado’s independent food and beverage community, @eat_denver champions the people and businesses that give the region its culinary identity. Proceeds from Savor the Season support this work, alongside initiatives focused on food access, immigrant and refugee advocacy, regenerative agriculture, and climate action.

The result was a series of evenings that celebrated not only what Colorado cooks, but what its culinary community stands for: independent spirit, a sense of place, and a commitment to a more sustainable and inclusive food future.

Last night was a beautiful celebration of food, hospitality, and community at Savor the Season. ❤️

It was especially meaningful to be there supporting SAME Café and the work they do to make healthy, nourishing food accessible to everyone.

This is what hospitality means to me — taking care of people, creating connection, and remembering that there’s always room at the table.

If you’re looking for a way to give back to our Denver community, consider supporting SAME Café. Every little bit helps keep their mission going.

Grateful to have been part of such a special night. 🥂
