Still so grateful for such a special evening celebrating creativity, young people, and the incredible work happening across Luton.

Alaudin (@ald.jamii ) was honoured to receive the Arts & Culture Award for his work on Young Moses, and seeing his creativity and dedication recognised like this was such a proud moment for us. This project honestly couldn’t be done with one of the co-creators!!

These are just a few of the photos from the evening; there’s so much more we want to share from the event and the journey behind Young Moses.

We’re incredibly honoured for @ald.jamii to have received the Arts & Culture Award at the Luton Youth Awards for our work on Young Moses!!

Creating a graphic novel from scratch has been such a special journey. From writing the story and script, as well as developing the characters to bringing the world of Young Moses to life through art, it has taken so much creativity, patience, and support.

To have our work recognised within the arts and culture community is something we’re genuinely so grateful for. This award is not only a celebration of what we’ve created, but a reminder of why we started creating in the first place.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported Young Moses and believed in our story. We can’t wait to show you what’s next.

Diversity in Luton: Balochistan

Balochi culture carries a rich history, with traditions, craftsmanship, language, music, dance, and stories that have been passed down through generations. One of the most recognisable expressions of our heritage is our traditional clothing, known for its intricate embroidery and detailed designs, with each piece reflecting the skill, creativity, and identity of the women who create it. Each stitch carrying a piece of history passed through generations. Our culture is deeply connected to community, family, hospitality, and preserving traditions despite the many places Baloch people now call home. Wearing Balochi clothing allows me to carry a part of that heritage with me and share its beauty with others. I am proud to be Baloch, and to represent a culture with such a meaningful identity. Baloch women, in particular, continue to play a powerful role in preserving our traditions, inspiring younger generations to embrace their own culture.
