Sam finally got his Christmas present! We took a road trip to Field of Vision, and Mara is officially a festival baby! It was so nice getting out of the heat and spending time enjoying lots of live music, the great outdoors, river activities, and yummy food and brews in BV and Salida. We definitely didn’t want to leave! Until next time, stay magical ✨

We are heartbroken to share that we have lost our Frida baby. Frida was the smartest, sassiest, fluffiest dog with the most endearing personality. We can’t begin to describe how much we miss her. Sam adopted her just two weeks after we started dating, and she has been by our sides ever since. Sam took Frida everywhere with him. Some of my favorite memories are our many trips to Mexico and Prescott, running and biking along the greenbelt, hiking through Papago, and spending time swimming and playing in any body of water. Whatever adventure we were having, Frida was all in. Frida was with us through so many milestones, from two dumb kids to marriage and the arrival of our baby girl, Mara. Losing her has left a space in our hearts that feels impossible to fill. It feels like a piece of our family is missing. Frida also gave us one of the greatest gifts when she had six puppies. It felt so special to see them go to loving homes among family and friends, including Mischka, who we were lucky to keep. Through them, a little part of Frida still lives on. We feel incredibly fortunate to have had ten amazing years with her. She truly was the best dog. I’ll forever miss her cold nose pokes whenever she wanted attention, her dramatic scoffs and sighs when she didn’t get her way, and seeing her curled up in her favorite spot on the couch by the window. We hope to see her and Pancake again someday. Until then, rest easy our sweet fluff. We will miss you always. ❤️

Six months with our silly girl, Mara! She keeps us laughing with her cat hisses, raspberry blowing, and fascination with drinks. She’s also busy practicing her crawling and standing skills 🫣 and trying new foods (avocado and carrots are her favorite). She’s full of energy and brings so much joy to our days! 💕

Our little love turned 4 months last week, and we can’t believe how quickly she’s growing! Sometimes I look at her big smile and hear her silly laugh, and I just get emotional. It’s hard to believe how perfect she is. She fills our lives with so much joy and laughter. From the bubbles and giggles to the blowouts, hair pulling, smiley diaper changes, and those tight little finger squeezes. I truly love every bit of it, Sam and I feel so incredibly lucky.

I’ll never forget when the nurse handed her to me for the first time, she was crying so hard. I just held her close and whispered that everything was going to be okay. She immediately stopped crying. That was the moment I really felt like a mom. I’ll always remember it.

We’re excited to keep dancing through her first year. It’s no surprise she loves music and the outdoors. I still remember her wiggling or ‘dancing herself clean’ in my belly at a music festival when I was nine months pregnant. We can’t wait to bring her to future shows and more outdoor adventures as she grows. 🩷
