Like something straight out of a storybook, Reese & Sam’s day was filled with intentional details, meaningful moments, and a love story years in the making. When asked her favorite memory, Reese shared, ā€œI’d spent time, since the day Sam and I began to date, writing love poems of sorts. I got those poems published into my first book and gifted it to him on our wedding day!ā€ šŸ¤ā

Rooted in purpose and overflowing with joy, their wedding was a beautiful reflection of not only their love for each other, but the faith that brought them to this moment together. Read the full feature and see more from their day using the link in bio! šŸ„‚ā

this last weekend was gnarly. one year ago, i sauna’d and cold plunged with lyle and nick bare in austin… toured BPN, got gifted some G1M gear, and left thinking… what am i even going to do with this? i didn’t run like that. but something about being around that level of drive and excellence stuck with me. it sparked something.

back in nash, tucker asked about the trip and invited me and garrett to run at percy warner the next weekend. not wanting to look like a bum, i said yeah and tried to warm up beforehand. i did a measly 2 miles at bicentennial and it whooped my butt. then saturday came and it whooped me again.

somehow the conversation turned to canyons… and i yolo’d into buying a 50k ticket after getting wrecked by 2 to 5 miles all week.

in jesse itzler’s love for the misogi tradition, this would be the one big hard thing to orient my year. and it did. training started. long runs stacked. rhythm built. stacking on stacking led to last weekend.

coming into the race, i chose to be happily delusional. i had no idea what i was getting into. i ran 30 miles last november in shelby, but it was flat. i didn’t understand elevation, let alone doing it at the endurance capital of the world.

the day before, we met gordy, the OG who ran against horses, the grandfather of western trails. he told us this would be the hardest race we’d ever run. thanks gordy. didn’t help my delusion.

Yesterday we celebrated one whole year of marriage and I honestly can’t wait for the rest of our years to come.šŸ¤šŸ„°

I spent a lot of the day thinking about Mr. Steve, who took his last breath on earth late Wednesday night. I can’t talk about our anniversary without being deeply grateful to him. Mr. Steve was truly a father to Kyle and the sweetest father-in-law to me. I’ve spent so much time thinking about how much his life has impacted Kyle and I’s. Kyle wouldn’t be who he is and our marriage wouldn’t be what it is without Mr. Steve. To know the Spinks family is to love them deeply and I’m grateful that we’re part of it! And although we’re heartbroken, we’re so joyful for the hope that we have in heaven. We will spend the rest of our lives continuing the legacy that his life carried. šŸ•Šļø
