A little flat water test of the new 475r2 from @codefoils. This foil is certainly a challenge to start in the flats but the range is seriously impressive. Unfortunately technique went out the window in this attempt but you get what you get and you don’t get upset ✌️ 7’6 x 17 100litre board. 75cm black series mast. Small fuse. 120r tail. I’m still very new to parawinging but it has been a journey I have really enjoyed. Inspired by local paralords @classiccangus and @s.teeley, the @ozone.wing 4.3m power pack has unlocked sends on the 3’11 23 litre prone board enabling me to enjoy even more of our beautiful coast 🙏🙏 Does it replace anything for me? Nope, just another tool to chose when I want to scratch that itch 🤣🤣 ….……………………………………………………..🎥 @samgraymedia ………………………………………………… @codefoils 810x 80+mast S fuse 142 tail. @voyager_foiler @thefoilshop_au

Born from friendship, forged by racing. 🌊⚡️
Code Foils started as a passion project between four mates with decades of ocean racing, design, and foiling experience. From late nights in a garage cutting prototypes to winning on the world’s toughest courses like M2O, every foil is built by riders, for riders. High-performance design, tested at the sharp end, driven by innovation and obsession with speed. Check out the origin film on our @codefoils YouTube . Filmed and edited by @samgraymedia

Learning to do the weed hop has drastically changed my enjoyment of downwinding in weedy conditions. This saves time and energy as apposed to coming off foil, flipping the board and going through the paddle up procedure from scratch. The video contains some tips that I have also included below. If you have any tips you want to pass on list them in the comments ✌️
1: Whilst learning consider using helmet, PFD, wetsuit top, impact vest. This move can induce unwanted 🌮. 2: To get used to the movement consider using lower aspect style of foil. Prioritise control over glide in the learning stages. Here I’m using the @codefoils 850s.
3: Line up square to the bump and dip low on the mast to then increase angle of attack aiming to exit the water near the top of the bump. Ideally we are landing near the peak giving us maximal runway to foil out.
4: The jumping action itself is rather passive. I’m not trying to Ollie but instead just going light on my feet and staying over my board. The action of the board coming out of the water is dictated by angle of the foil exiting the water.💦 5: Land with bent knees and paddle ready for bracing.
6: Practice lots and stay safe 🤙 @codefoils 850s short fuse proto tail. 80 +mast Board 5’ 10 @voyager_foiler @thefoilshop_au 🎥 @samgraymedia

The local skate park turning in on ☠️ 810x proving its place in the DW quiver. I’m not sure it can get more fun than this 🤤 @codefoils paired with the 80+ mast, med fuse and 142 AR tail.
