About yesterday….. We, The SMACK Organization, a 501c3 nonprofit, have had the privilege of igniting the spark of potential in young minds at Waverly Middle School, specifically 7th and 8th grade girls, all year through our transformative SMACK Talk Girl’s Group mentorship and empowerment program. As Teacher Appreciation Week officially commenced this week, we at the SMACK Organization seized the opportunity to kick-start the celebrations by bestowing a heartfelt surprise luncheon upon the ENTIRE Waverly Middle School staff, comprising teachers, secretaries, principals, security guards, and every unsung hero. With help from our friend and Delta Township Supervisor Fonda Brewer lending her presence, signing all the certificates, and handing them out one by one. We honored each educator’s unwavering dedication to shaping future leaders and the entire staff for their tireless efforts. Months of meticulous planning culminated in perfection, thanks to the invaluable contributions of our friends Sharon Lane and SaMiyah Washington, who lent a helping hand in setting up, decorating, and serving this remarkable staff. The looks of joy, the appreciation etched on faces as they savored GG’s delectable lasagna, and the palpable gratitude in the air – every moment was truly unforgettable. We expressed our deepest gratitude to Waverly Middle School for entrusting us with the privilege of investing in their students and for allowing us to celebrate the incredible staff in such a special way. *** And now we can proudly say, “Waverly Middle School, you’ve just been SMACKED!”👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🎉🖤💛🖤💛🖤💛💛🖤🖤💛💛🖤
