One of my favourite @tiff_net 2026 movies has to be #HALF!

The 1st ever Malayalam movie to premiere at TIFF's prestigious Midnight Madness selection!

Featuring twin half-vampire siblings (#RanjithSajeev & #AiswaryaRaj) as they embark on a gory road trip of revenge!

An insanely bloody, violent action movie that plays out like a classic Curry Western.
And the action itself, choreographed by Very Tri Yulisman, the brains behind The Raid movies and The Night Comes For Us, never lets you breathe!

A must-watch for genre fans, and a testament to the range of genre that's coming out of the Indian industry. (not Bollywood!)

My full review is up now at Fandom Rising. (Link in bio)

On September 18th 2026, HALF became the first-ever Malayalam film to screen in TIFF’s iconic Midnight Madness section. The room was buzzing, the energy was pure magic, and the love during the post-screening Q&A left us speechless.

Huge love to everyone in Toronto who came through and brought the noise for our team. TIFF was an incredible start, and we’ve got plenty more festival updates coming your way next! 🌍.

HALF (Midnight Madness Screening)
@ranjithsajeev @amalapaul and director @samjadps

It’s not quite as wild as The Furious last year, but the crowd still went absolutely WILD for this!!!

And honestly, watching Hindi vampires rip out arms and organs in gloriously over-the-top gore is pretty damn mad in its own right.

The movie may not have reached the same level of chaos as last year, but the Midnight Madness crowd definitely brought the energy. There’s nothing quite like experiencing this kind of ridiculousness with a packed TIFF audience screaming, laughing and cheering together.
