Yesterday marked one year in Chicagoland. Wild honestly.

A year holds many emotions, growth, wins, “L”s, lessons, and changes. All I can say is that I've seen God’s kindness throughout the process. It was a very long one, but he had a plan, and I'm glad I stuck it out because it led to a very sweet year.

A year of solo trips and saying yes because why not!

A year of buying snacks and working a slushy machine in Jesus’ Name, Amen 🙏🏿

A year closer to family, able to witness their lives and have them witness mine.

A year of shenanigans again and again and again.

A year of new friendships.

A year of city adventures and great hot chocolate.

A year of team building.

A year of living close to friends I haven’t seen in a while.

A year of diving deeper and learning more.

A year of hospitality.

A year of girls’ nights.

A year of HG.

A year in which I turned 30.

A year of missing Arkansas and the people it gifted me with. I miss a church that loved me and set me up for success. And I miss a women’s ministry that loves well and trains well!

A year of good eats! And brothers who showed up!

A year of being silly on a stage.

I used to pray for times like this.

Excited for round 2 💪🏿

I had another opportunity to host a benefit car show. Amazing weather, awesome turnout and I’ll have the total amount we raised posted later over on the benefit car show page. Thank you to all of my awesome clients that tipped me over these last few months, 100% of the tips went into funding this car show and donating the rest to Diane Davis to help aid her financially through her fight against thyroid cancer. THANK YOU ALL!

Twenty-nine. You were a year of answered prayers, so much joy, and less tears than last year.

Maybe 2026 will mark the return of a monthly recap, but until then, here is a 2025 wrap-up post.

I live less than an hour from my dream city, work with a team that brings so much joy, and I am excited for the adventure of a new season. Oh, and I can drive home to my parents in about 2 hours.

2025 brought a lot of clarity, cheers, and tears. And a DJ Controller. We’ll see what happens in 2026!

Testimony Tuesday!

This week we’re hearing from Samuel Adejokun in Sigma Nu!

Samuel grew up knowing about Christ but not truly walking with Him. He says that chasing success and admiration left him empty until God used people around him to draw him back to Scripture and a real relationship with Jesus.

Now, Samuel has found a community that helps him stay grounded in faith and he leads others in Sigma Nu to do the same. 🙌
