Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor ⚔️

What happens when you mash together Assassin’s Creed and the Batman Arkham games, and set it in the universe of The Lord of the Rings?

You get one banger of a game 🔥

Set after the events of The Hobbit, our main protagonist, Talion, a ranger of Gondor, is seeking retribution after witnessing the sacrifice of his own family, and himself, to the hands of someone named the “Black Hand of Sauron”.

This sacrificial ritual was all to bring back Celebrimbor, an en Elven smith master who helped forge the Rings of Power. The ritual was intended to summon Celebrimbor’s spirit and bind it to the body of the Black Hand, allowing Sauron to take physical form again. But this didn’t go as planned, for during this ritual, Talion was still clinging onto life. This gave an opportunity for Celebrimbor to bind his spirit onto Talion, which he saw as his way to seek his own revenge too.

This game is so much fun!

The combat is quite excellent and flows really well. If you like Batman Arkham’s combat system, you’ll be right at home here.

There’s also stealth elements to the game. I feel it’s a little bit easy at times but I think it can be satisfying.

Music is fantastic! And the voice acting is quite excellent. I really love the va’s for Talion and Celebrimbor.

This is an open world setting with different missions, side objectives and collectibles. Mostly typical open world stuff, but it feels more rewarding because you get experience points and can use that unlock new skills and abilities.

One big aspect I love about the game is the “Nemesis system”. Whenever you kill named orcs or captains, sometimes they will be revived back to life. They will remember you and remember how you killed them. The dialog for these encounters are so fun. Gives so much personality to the orcs. This will lead for different gameplay approaches for fights. For example: if you killed an orc in the head with an arrow, later on he might be wearing some sort of head armour to prevent what happened last time.

Anyways, I HIGHLY recommend checking this game out!

Hope you all have a great day 🔥

“Soon, the whole world will see that the way to freedom is chaos! And the way to chaos is, CARNAGE!”

Though I think Carnage usually gets outshined by Spider Man’s other villains, I think he’s still a great villain.

While Spider Man can crack jokes with other villains, Carnage is definitely a villain he takes very seriously. When Carnage is out on the loose, many innocent lives are in grave danger. An absolute mad man and psychopath. And you know it’s desperate times for Spidey when he needs to team up with the other loose cannon, his arch rival, Venom 😩

Who is your favourite Spider Man villain? 🤧

Hope you all have a great day!
