Winter Lowers ❄️

Since I've started Y13, freestyle's kind of played second fiddle to my uni applications. As my A levels approach, it'll only get worse. However, this video annihilates my old level so there's still hope. The question for me now (with mocks and exams) is whether I should even enter YACT again... Let's see 😁

So… last weekend I finished 3rd in the UK Championships 🥉

I ended up losing in the semi finals 2-1 vs @rebazfreestyle (Shoutout to him who was the most consistent freestyler on the day and I thought was really unlucky to lose the final in a really close battle). I then went on to battle @maxlawsonfs in a gruelling 3rd place playoff and won 2-1 (I hope we can battle again when we are both fresh 😅👊🏻)

I am really gutted to not have won this year considering the big amount of preparation I had put in the month prior, especially having ranked 1st in qualification. But these things happen in sport and it’s a test to pick yourself up after disappointment, analyse what went wrong and go again. Although despite all this, I actually had loads of fun being properly back on stage for the first time in over 2 years and I can’t wait to be back. Especially competing with the no time limit rule.

I want to say a massive shoutout to @stevegrayfs , @ashfreestyle , @ultimatefreestylecomp and @footballfiesta_ & the judges @calvinfs_97 @giannos1998 @conorreynoldsfs , For putting on one of the best UK Championships we’ve ever had, they did so well at listening to the community’s needs and in result, put on an event that brought the small but great UK community together really nicely. From what it looked like, everyone had an unreal time. Extra shoutout to @stevegrayfs who was organising, competing and even MCing throughout the entire day (You deserved a trophy more than anyone !!)

and lastly, huge shoutout to @leonvizanfs who ended being crowned UK champion! Who I know also trained super hard for this competition and was a deserved winner. Was a shame we couldn’t share the final haha but hope that we can share the stage sometime soon 🙏🏻
