Vacation reading recos and loans from different friends @tallbirdmace @jedbeitler @sammarcodamion It’s been a long time since I picked up one of these paper thingies. Apparently it’s better than doomscrolling. Maybe I should do this more often.

The Z-Press is a staple of 720's strength work for a reason.

We believe in being strong in many positions.

If you find yourself able to press a ton of weight overhead, but you need to use a significant lean & you get your upper chest involved a ton, we don't hate that, but we will push you to try out the Z-Press.

Because you're seated on the floor, your hip Flexor will engage at a maximum, your core will fire & your shoulders will fight to find overhead fixation.

The Z-Press is an excellent addition to regular pressing because it'll train the musculature that one may miss in the upperbody as they optimize their technique to lift as much as possible.

Again, we love lifting heavy. But you should be able to go heavy in a variety of ways with a variety of tools.

Whether it's kettlebell, barbell or dumbbell, all versions are great.

Get good at the version you like the most and watch as you become more stable in your overhead!
