Happy Birthday to one of my biggest forever inspirations @kimmcfarlandchicago ! I need to say…You are and have been a master, a teacher for me in this school of voice and music! I will forever honor your sound and impact on how I listen to music. Your voice taught me that I could be creative and try new things with mine. Your gift help plant and water my garden ; My own gift! You are my forever girl! Today I hope you are reminded of your importance to us and most importantly to God, to YOU! This reel starts at the end of the night… and rewinds the entire experience.

Lauren & Sam challenged Spark Entertainment Group to create a wedding Entertainment inspired by the city they love. With a blank canvas, DJ D. Jones conceived an entertainment experience that celebrated Chicago from beginning to end.

The finale? A surprise performance arranged by the bride featuring Chicago legend Twista.

Then we rewind…

Gemini Jones brought the Chicago club energy to the dance floor. Sam Mitchem and his band performed live through dinner. Our string quartet played hip-hop instrumentals for the ceremony. Madrid set the tone during cocktail hour. The Hound Dance Crew and Darius on drums elevated the experience throughout the evening.

Spark also provided all professional audio and performance lighting.

A huge thank you to our incredible team: Sarah, Gilberto, Von, Twon, Madrid, Gemini Jones, Darius, Sam Mitchem, our musicians, dancers, and every creative who helped bring this vision to life.

Congratulations, Lauren & Sam. What a night.

Some stages mean a little more.

Getting to share this one at The Historic Fitzgerald’s in Chicago during the Americana Music Festival with Calvin Rogers and Maurice Fitzgerald was one of those moments I’ll carry with me for a long time.

These are musicians whose work helped shape my understanding of groove, feel, and musical excellence long before they ever knew my name. To stand beside them and make music together ( family band style ) was a gift.

Thank you, Sam, for bringing us together. Sometimes the greatest birthday gifts don’t come wrapped , they arrive in the form of people, songs, and shared moments. Justin St Clair thanks for writing this one with me .. #america250 i joined the struggle in 1976

Nearly 400 guests. One room. Zero forced moments.

Last weekend at @starlineweddings in Harvard, Illinois, @dridstar stepped into a packed celebration alongside one of our Spark hybrid band experiences featuring live guitarist @sammitchem_ , AJ on drums, and a guest sax woven into the night in real time.

What made this one special wasn’t just the size of the room.
It was the balance.

The live instrumentation gave the night texture. Madrid read the crowd with precision. Every transition felt intentional. Every genre shift felt earned. The kind of energy where multiple generations, different friend groups, and out of town guests all somehow felt connected to the same moment.

That’s what luxury entertainment is supposed to feel like.
Not louder. Smoother.

Huge credit to the planners, musicians, and creative partners who helped this night flow effortlessly from start to finish.

If you’re planning a wedding where the energy matters as much as the design, save this for later.
And send this to your planner if you want your dance floor to feel this seamless.
