Not sure I’ll be able to find the right words so here it goes... my life has become a million times better having these two wonderfully amazing humans in my life. Today they start their new journey and I could not be more excited for them. They deserve every bit of this exciting opportunity. Blair and Sam are a glowing example of so many different aspects of life. For example I don’t know many couples that could of survived 3 years of only getting to see their new spouse for 1.5 hours a day but you guys did it with ease as grace. Quite possibly the largest impact you’ve had on my life was helping me get closer to Christ and I’m forever grateful for that. You are true friends with hearts of gold and I’m so excited to see where this next stop takes you! Toledo/Fort Wayne’s loss is 💯% Savannah’s gain! Looking forward to visiting you both in the new city and of course Tequila shots on deck for you Sam! 😉

Seasons change and sometimes your plans right along with them...

SO——We’re moving to Georgia! 🍑
.
While it’s hard to fathom moving away from our family (especially all those nieces && nephews) and friends- we know with confidence this is where God has called us for this season. We both have accepted jobs at the same station, WTOC, in Savannah. We’re excited about the chance to tackle a new adventure together in a different city, working the same hours, and even in the same building (&& without real winters.)
.
It’s a rare opportunity to continue doing what we love alongside each other and we know only God could orchestrate it all for us. He is faithful and it’s been proven at every turn.
.
We’ll miss Toledo so very much, but we sure can’t wait to welcome the beach and any visitors it brings our way.

He is literal joy. My whole heart is wrapped up in that big ‘ole cheesy smile. For 29 years you’ve brought light to those around you and I for one could not be more grateful for your birth. You are the best human I know. I’m so lucky your mine- even if you are getting old.

Submit
•
I used to HATE this word. It felt oppressive, dominant, and chauvinistic. I thought it meant giving up my voice and being forced to stand down.
•
BUT two years into marriage this word has new meaning. I’ve learned just how wrong I truly was, it’s not a power struggle. Now, I know the beauty that is submission.
•
It’s not someone walking in and taking something away from you- it’s all about giving. It’s laying down your own plans, desires, and affections for the sake of others. It’s love. It mutual service, respect and encouragement. Its setting aside your pride and humbling yourself to be second. It’s meant to bring harmony...
•
While I’ve struggled with the word and what it looks like, Sam doesn’t. He understands true submission. It’s being like Jesus— He came to serve & submitted His will for The Father’s at every turn. Sam submits to our Maker and gets how to love and serve others and myself. Daily, I am reminded of how great a gift I’ve been given to do life by his side, as his equal and in submission.
•
As I work to live and love in this new definition, I know it’s next to a gracious husband who allows me to evolve as we chase God’s heart in all that we do.
•
I love you Sam. Happy 2nd anniversary. ❤️

Things I learned on vacation:
• Disney is MAGICAL—and exhausting
• Florida sun is much more intense than Ohio sun
• The fireworks and Dole Whip fully lived up to the hype
• Sam really won’t do spiny rides, but loves his Toy Story &&&&&&&
• I married the world’s GREATEST human who planned the absolute best surprise anniversary trip!
• Marriage is the best❤️

When people ask how Sam and I are doing I normally say, “we’re boring.”
.
While it’s true, nothing crazy has happened to us lately for a “life update” that phrase is a total disservice to this man and our marriage... yes, we aren’t thinking babies or houses, but everyday is an adventure- better than the last.
.
Sam you are the farthest thing from boring and I LOVE this life God has given us. Our “boring” life is such a blessing. Thanks for leading and loving me so well.
.
I’d choose boring with you any day.
