Shootings in Philadelphia have dropped significantly since 2023, and teens across the city are using music to help keep that going 🎤

In the neighborhoods hit hardest, young artists are rapping about confidence, grief, and their everyday lives. @famfrequencyphilly teaches teens how to build careers in the music industry, and @levelupphilly1 hosts dance battles that have drawn close to 1,000 teens, giving them the belonging some might otherwise look for in gangs.

⏰️ CORRECT START TIME 5PM!⏰️

In this interactive community workshop, @motivosmag will use games, storytelling, and stitching to explore our hopes, concerns, and dreams for the future of education and young people in our community.

We’ll begin by discovering connections with one another, then share stories about the educational experiences that have shaped us and our hopes for what could be. Finally, we’ll turn our individual hopes and concerns into a collective creation and explore what it might take to stitch a path from where we are to where we want to be.
