The Hardest Goodbye 🫶🫶🫶

On pointe dance center has been a home to me for the past 12 years of my life, and a place where I grew not only as a dancer but as a person.
Thank you to all of my incredible teachers for believing in me, pushing me to be my best, and supporting me every step of the way. A special thank you to Ms. Jenn, a second mom, for always loving, encouraging, and believing in me. I truly wouldn't be who I am today without you. And thank you, Ms. Kate, for helping me become the dancer I needed to be to make the High Point Dance Team.
Leaving this chapter is one of the hardest things I've ever had to do, but I know I'm ready for the next. I'm so excited to continue dancing at the collegiate level, and I owe so much of that opportunity to everyone at OPDC.

🌟 Meet Miss Sammy! 🌟

You’ve seen her around the studio for years, and now you’ll be seeing her in an exciting new role this summer as an official dance teacher! She will begin her teaching role next week by co-teaching the “Enchanted Confetti Casita” camp for ages 3-5. There’s still room to join! 💜

Miss Sammy is another graduate of our Teacher Assistant Program, where she spent years learning, growing, and preparing for this next step. We can say with 100% certainty that she is a fan favorite among our littlest dancers… IYKYK! 😉 Her caring heart, encouraging spirit, and kind nature make her someone our dancers naturally gravitate toward, and we are so excited for them to continue learning from her.

While we wish we could keep her all season long, she’ll be heading off to college this fall. We’re so thankful to have her with us this summer and know you’ll still see her around the studio for special events and visits throughout Season 13! 🩵

✨ A Note from Sammy: ✨

Hi, I’m Sammy! I recently graduated from Terry Sanford High School and am so excited to be heading to NC State this fall in Exploratory Studies. OPDC has always been such a special place to me, and I’ve loved growing up here as a dancer. I’m especially passionate about contemporary and hip hop, and over the years, I’ve discovered such a love for teaching and working with younger dancers. I can’t wait to step into this new role and continue being part of the studio that means so much to me!

💜 We are so proud of you, Sammy, and can’t wait to watch you inspire the next generation of dancers at OPDC! 💜
