It was our 5th birthday yesterday. 5 years of blood, sweat, tears and the occasional sausage. The 10 photo limit isn’t nearly enough to describe the totally excellent group of people I’ve been lucky enough to work with @thecamberwellarms. It’s been the hardest thing I’ve ever done, and is the thing I’m most proud of. Thank you to all of our customers, without you we are nothing. Here’s to many more years, many more great people and many more good times.

Meet Niaomh, Co-founder of The Shared Plate:
Niaomh has loved cooking since her first experience of kitchen life working with her Dad aged 9. The thrill and heat of the kitchen sowed a seed that day and she has since spent 15 years in the kitchen. She has worked with Michael Davies of the Camberwell Arms, Sam Soan of Klose and Soan and Susie Moss at Rafiki’s as well as returning time and time again to the kitchen with her father.
Her most recent position as Kitchen Manager at Embercombe was a wake up call to the importance of cooking locally and seasonally, and was where she first experienced the power of experiential learning that has informed the work of The Shared Plate.
She says “I had known the power of working with food for a long time purely from the way it makes me feel, but Embercombe really taught me the power of working communally, side by side and the impact it can have for all people. When our hands are working, conversation flows and we find ourselves having conversations without trouble or pressure. Then we sit together and eat the beautiful food that we prepared and can basque in the sense of achievement. It’s fun but also communicative and engaging. Basically I feel the power of food knows no bounds.” .

These pics are from my very talented friend Sam’s catering company @klosesoan, this was their Midsummer’s Feast pop up at the incredible Master Shipwright’s Palace in Deptford (thank you for catering so exquisitely for the only vegan guest🙋🏻‍♀️). Ahora esta de moda que los grupos ecologistas devuelvan a su hábitat natural a alguna especie en peligro, pero los cazafantasmas lo venían haciendo hace rato. Como esperar el ascensor y encontrarlo desocupado con una espada clavada en la pared.
Hay que hacerse cargo.
Dibujitos para machos. Marina colecciona figus solo para regalarlas, incluso los hologramas.
Inventa tu propio zodiaco. Y asígnales a cada signo un barrio del conurbano distinto.
El cielo es de bronce, la tierra de plata y el mar de oro.
El mar es de bronce, la tierra de plata cubierta de nieve y el cielo de oro.
El oso que sale a buscar miel para los demás jamás deja sus huellas marcadas. Caminar es de cagon: correr pintando.
Pintar para no llegar a ningún lado, total el sol es un círculo y cuando te des cuenta vas a estar detrás tuyo empujándote hacia la cima.
Estamos cansados de escribir montaña.
La voluntad de poder jugando a la pelota, solo y bajo la lluvia. Dificil de entender cuando te llevaste a marzo Evolución y físico-química 3, la materia mas aburrida de la escuela de magia.
El sol es un círculo amarillo.
