LA week 2 dump!

Stories is out now 🤍

If I could go back in time and a sing a song to my younger self, this would be the one.

Falling in love with Andrii is the best thing I could’ve ever done for her.

And tomorrow we get married!!

Thank you @samockmusic for taking a simple idea and turning it into a true fairytale of a song, @jamesauwarter @codaroomaudio for the best mix and master, and @riannachloe for the dreamiest photos.

And to Andrii, because this song would not exist without you.

Link in bio to listen everywhere.

Gowe- Jazznight 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 A smooth jazzy boom bap album executed with precision. This is a dope chh project. This artist seems to stay out of the mainstay Chh circles. But those who do know, know that this record is flames. A very personal album. By the time I was done going through it, I felt I knew this man in a Deepwater. He does an amazing job at telling his story and bringing you in to his world.

The beats are crafted really well as a canvas for the stories that we get with this offering. Sam Ock is the producer we have to thank. A great soundscape with some soulful jazzy loops. It definitely gives you the vibe that you are in a smooth jazz club, close your eyes on a couple tracks and see for yourself. The hooks are so good, they seem like they have been around forever if you know what I mean. An organic sound from beginning to end. Could see this being played live with no sound difference. 🥁🥁

Lyrically Gowe (Gifted On West East) comes across as a refined story teller. He might have started on open mics but he has tailored his rhymes with details of life experiences that really gets you to listen to the stories. He has real smooth delivery that compliments the beats that were chosen excellently. Touches on some deep subjects from family to society. Ultimately the album is really done well, from the music to lyrics, everything is cohesive and focused. Praise the Lord for this brother taking punches and keeping it rolling. 💯

If you haven't come across this record yet, don't worry, they're is time to remedy that. Cool out, grab a good set of cans and groove too this groovy drop and stay blessed my people ☮️

🌼 Garden Voices 🌼 is out TODAY! It’s yours wherever you listen to music. I feel both the relief and grief of setting these songs free.

One of my best friends recently told me that listening to this album feels like a “coming-of-age movie.” That’s got to be one of the most meaningful descriptors of this body of work, and I hope you feel a little (or a lot) of that as you listen. More words above ⬆️

This album would not exist as it does without the collaboration and support of many. My dear friend @harperjamesx produced, mixed, and mastered over half this album, and I’m so eternally grateful for all the music we’ve made together over the years. I’m also so stoked that I got to work with new and talented people: @alexwongsounds and @marybragg in Nashville (what a dream)! And @samockmusic through the interwebs! And @plummmsss and all of the musicians who played on this record. My husband @thisisjeffd made all of the album art, CD visuals, everything that you can see 🌸

Thanks to my @patreon community, who funded almost the entire album! What a crazy, heartfelt, unexpected source of support ❤️

Feeling grateful and happy that I get to live this life, that I get to take in all the garden voices, all of the triumph and failures, all the closeness and losses, and the gift that it is to turn all of that into art.

Thank you for taking this album into your arms. It means the absolute world.
