Still Letting It Sink In… ✨🖤 For Pi Day (3.14), I hosted my very first Artist Talk alongside my amazing curator @nefertiti.nakiya_—and wow, what a night! I’m still embracing the title of artist, but seeing people drive over an hour in rush hour just to hear me speak? That hit different. Every time someone asks for my signature (lol, still not sure what y’all are doing with that), it reminds me that this journey is real. That I am, in fact, an artist & I’m sensitive about my ISH 😂 This night was more beautiful than I could have ever imagined! I opened up about my wins and losses, my work as a Civil Engineer, my divorce, battles with depression and suicidal thoughts, my faith, and how I’m now living my wildest dreams. We laughed, we cried, we danced—it was a night of pure Black🖤Joy💫. (If you make it to the last slide, you’ll even catch me shedding a tear. 🥹) If you missed the grand opening and my artist talk, you have ONE FINAL CHANCE to experience Black🖤Joy💫 at my closing event on April 5th from 3-7pm. Everyone keeps asking me, what’s next? Truthfully, I have no expectations—because whatever I can imagine, God will do exceedingly and abundantly above that.
