In Mt. Pleasant, a plate of food is more than a meal.

It's the legacy of a family that built something to last, of a young entrepreneur starting small and of a carryout spot that grew by word of mouth, one neighbor at a time. It’s culture and community, shared over a big helping of comfort food.

This is the story of three local restaurants that honor tradition and nourish a neighborhood.

We’re walking in Mt. Pleasant because every child here, and in every neighborhood across our city, deserves a Lead Safe home and a seat at the table.

Happy 4th of July 🇺🇸

To the men and women in uniform. The plumbers, contractors, brick layers, HVAC owners. The entrepreneurs and risk-takers building something from nothing.

To the franchisees, restaurant owners, and operators in the field every day — building a better life for their family and a living for their team.

Thank you. This country runs on people like you.

God bless Florida. God bless America. 🎆

We are excited to introduce NuPoint Community Development Corporation, a new chapter in our journey of empowering and uplifting the Union Miles and Mount Pleasant communities!

Formerly known as Union Miles Development Corporation, this rebranding represents a significant moment for our organization and the neighborhoods we serve, as we move toward a brighter, more unified future. The name NuPoint signifies a fresh beginning, a “new point” in the direction of our community’s growth and resilience.

The “NU” is more than just a play on words; it’s a cultural tribute to the rich history and strength of the Nubian people, who symbolize royalty, resilience, and pride in the African diaspora. Just like the Nubians, we see our community as powerful, vibrant, and full of potential, ready to rise above challenges and thrive.

This new identity reflects our commitment to bridging the past with the future. As we continue to serve Union Miles and Mount Pleasant, NuPoint will work to foster unity, promote redevelopment, and create new opportunities for growth—leading our communities toward a prosperous future.

We believe this rebranding mirrors the strength and beauty of our neighborhoods, reminding us that through collaboration, innovation, and determination, we can continue to transform and uplift our beloved Southeast side of Cleveland.

Together, we move forward with a renewed sense of purpose and direction, celebrating the cultural pride of our past while striving for progress that will carry us into a thriving future. Welcome to NuPoint—a new direction for our community, where legacy meets innovation 💚🧡💙🚀
