We kicked off our wedding weekend with a disco welcome party! 🪩

Knowing that we both had family and friends coming from all over the world, we knew we wanted to spend as much time with them as possible. What better way than to throw a prequel party to the main event?! 🕺🥂

We ate great food, listened to some lovely speeches, and danced the night away under the disco ball… 🪩

it's a bit of a dream come true when you play Cupid and set your cousin up with a (now sister) very very close friend you made in the pandemic while working alongside eachother at White Squirrel (remember those early breadhead days?). Well ya 5 years later they got married this past weekend and I had the honour of picking the flowers to garnish the cake from Liv's aunts garden where she grew them all for the venue (which also happened to be her insanely stunning property out in Hiawatha, talk about sustainability!!!).
Tim and Liv wanted a simple seasonal cake that could withstand the heat so i did a 10" lemon buttermilk cake with a lemon soak, lemon curd and freshly smashed raspberries (obvs from @broadforkproduce , they are soooooo good this year) with some cream cheese frosting, then coated in a salted Swiss meringue buttercream.
These two have become characters in part of the sitcom of my life over the past 5 years (and Tim over the past 33 years) and I'm so happy I now have another strong, playful and intelligent Kirby to add to the roster of delinquents we are. I am honoured to be a part of their story byway of matchmaking, treats, giggles, and knowing in that exact moment in May of 2021 that they were made for each other.

Thank you for letting me say “I do” to marrying you. I would say it has been the greatest honour of my life, but simply put, the greatest honour has been just getting to experience life with you two. So this comes second. 🤍 Your love story has been one for the books .. it’s a good thing I brought mine ;). I will be grateful for the rest of my life that I got to read a chapter of yours. Can attest, the protagonists sure do look dashing in a white gown & a tux.
