Alright, Friday night is looking like a good one.
Our mate is flying in from Sydney to celebrate his birthday, and we’ll be taking over Dr Morse for the night.
We’ll be setting up Seed 42 for some weird visuals, we’ll have some deep sounds going, and hopefully a few of you legends can come down and get lost in it with us.
Come take the ride. 🦇

The LFG NRG ❤️‍🔥 at Belle + Jacks wedding was palpable. It was a seshemony from start to finish 🤣 so much craic with beer boys, born slippy, antics, hip hop limbo, the biggest party of mates ever & Frankie the doggo. The rain didn’t dampen any spirits here. Keep on swiping 👉 THIS is a modern wedding. Captured so perfectly by @alexandergroom.co for @georgiawiggs 📷
MORE OF THIS PLOIZE 🙏 Thanks for having me, rascals 😘

With a little extra time on my hands I finally got around to syncing my set recording to a few of the videos taken during my set at NYX Festival. I really wanted to share these by calling out some of the amazing artists who created the music that shaped this journey.

This first track is Relaxation Method (Akari System Remix) by Diego Strabe and Aender. It also features a few whispers from The Silver Brumby ~ THOWRA’s origin story.

Side notes:
1. Shout out to my amazing friends/media team @jaguar_jones and @_wheres_wal for the videos!
2. Syncing music to videos and adding text… sounds easy. It is not.

Such a banging track. So much fun to open the journey with this ⚡️

It would not be my mix if I didn’t play a Kaufmann track. I absolutely love seeing how the energy shifts whenever her music comes in. It’s heavy and weird, but fun and groovy at the same time.

I really love this Charlotte de Witte release. The horse (brumby) samples felt like the perfect extension of the silver brumby tale I was wanting to weave in 🥰

Akari System continue to blow my mind. The quality and detail in their productions is genuinely on another level. This was track #2 of theirs that I played in this set. It was fun 💕

I really admire how Luis M balances ethereal vocals with a heaving bassline. 11/10.

Playing the sunrise set meant I essentially played two sets: starting with techno, and shifting to more melodic and euphoric sounds as the sun came up… it was the best. I’d been patiently waiting for the chance to play this track for months. Watching the landscape slowly wake up while this played was one of my favourite moments of the weekend.

Our dear friend Sam creates incredible music! This one is my favourite (it’s special 🤩).

Every one of these tracks helped tell the story. Thanks for coming on this journey. The set is linked in my bio if you want to give it a listen x

🎧SUNNY & THE MELBOURNE SOUND🎧

I wanted to create a post that introduced a new generation of clubbers to the history of the Melbourne Progressive Sound and the legendary Sunny Side Up events… so I hope this post can open up an Australian Rabbit Hole where we can all revisit this era of music or discover it for the first time.

There’s almost no information about these parties online, so if you could share your memories in the comments I’d be very appreciative, and I am sorry if I got any information wrong in the video… I tried my best lol.

Obviously, in this video I focused on only a handful of the artists who contributed to the Australian scene and Melbourne sound and I would like to shout them out here.
