We @magrinopr are so proud to partner with the one and only Florence Fabricant on her just published memoir-‘Salty, Not Sweet’ an excellent title and you’ll have to read the book to know the origin of it. It’s especially meaningful to me—having worked with Florence on her early cookbooks ‘way back when’ I was @clarksonpotter -which is also where I met @marthastewart48 . Last night @bankofamerica @conniev5 and @nycwff @leeschrager hosted her ‘official’ book party and an insightful interview with her longtime @nytimes colleague @samsifton Florence’s story of food, life, love, Paris, East Hampton, many wines, many meals and of course The NY Times—it’s all here. @nycwff kick off tonight at @bankofamerica PH for a private reception celebrating the one and only Florence Fabrikant- aka FloFab celebrating her 14th book -Salty not Sweet , which if you know Flo is such a perfect name for her book. To make the evening even more special @nytcooking food editor @samsifton hosted a quick fire Q&A-Bank of america has been our presenting sponsor of the @nycwff and our partner for the last 14 years. Very few partners rise to the level that they have and still do 14 years later-perhaps even more so every year. We always do something special at the bank at Bryant Park. 51st Floors for the vip customers/clients to kick off the Festival weekend and this year was no different thanks to Connie Verducci.

Oxtail stew (from Golden Krust Caribbean Bakery & Grill, adapted by @samsifton for @nytcooking). I cut the oxtails with beef shank for those who preferred not dealing with bones.

Served over creamy polenta, a DELICIOUS tomato tart from @alisoneroman, some plantains that weren't as maduros as I'd hoped, shaved cabbage, and "basque nachos" to pick at.

Not pictured was a coffee creme brulee for dessert.

Overall, very fun lunch with very fun people! Now, to dissociate forever (#sundayscaries)...!

Monte and I got tricked by some Mackeralses, but the turned to albies eventually. Very excited for this fall. Well, totally, but also for the Pizza! We don’t have that upstate😂😂😂 starting Sept 20 and going to Oct 26 Montauk and Greenport. Then, pizza-wise-Brooklyn Oct 26 to dec 1. Sunday's reunion dinner with Chef Damon Wise was one of those evenings.

To Damon -- thank you for joining us in the backyard where Sam's Table first began, for sharing your talent, your friendship and your generosity with our team and our guests.

To everyone who joined us, thank you for making the evening so memorable.

And to our incredible team, thank you for the care you bring to every service.

On Sunday, August 2, Chef Sam and the Solo Diner team will come together for one evening to present a seven-course tasting menu inspired by their shared commitment to thoughtful cooking and the distinct culinary traditions that have shaped each of their kitchens.

This month's tasting menu celebrates the season -- from Fioretto cauliflower tempura to chicken with foie gras and cherries, finishing light with pavlova and Jersey blueberries.
