POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I am so pleased to inform you that my debut ep “Hello, Sunshine” is out and available everywhere, all over the world, wherever you may be.

this record explores grief, the ending of things & the subsequent beginnings. in another post I will go into more detail; the stories, characters and themes of each song, and in other posts to follow, I will show you some behind the scenes details if that’s something you’re interested in.

for now, this weekend I am celebrating (stellabrating, if you like) my debut ep and I am celebrating being alive. also this box of 18 beers cost me £13, so I’m celebrating that as well.

thanks so much for being here with me, enjoy the record, and I’ll chat to you soon 🌞

it is with great pleasure, immense joy, and boundless pride, that I can announce my debut EP “Hello, Sunshine” will be released everywhere on friday the 23rd of october, 2026.

I had an idea a while ago to make a soundtrack for the 5 stages of grief. each song on this record represents one of these stages and speaks about the experience, from either my own perspective or someone else’s.
once these songs began to take shape, we were floating ideas about how to present these ideas visually; eventually we had the idea of one more meal with someone we have loved and lost. what would you talk about? what would you bring to the table? over time, we shot one by one, individual items we would bring to the table, to culminate in our own last supper (of sorts).

a popular interview question people get is, “who would you to choose to have a meal with, dead or alive?”, and this is something we thought about a lot when making this record and deciding on the visual output. you could have that meal with anyone. it doesn’t have to be someone famous.

it has been the experience of my life starting this project and I cannot wait to continue.
you can pre-save “Hello, Sunshine” to your streaming library following the link in my bio. bandcamp pre-order will be available tomorrow.

thank you for being here with me and I’ll chat to you very soon 🌞

hello friends. are you melting in the heat? I am.

I am writing to you to commemorate the release of my third single, Too Emotional To Be A Cynic.
I don’t believe in psychics, I don’t believe in mediums, I don’t believe in people who claim (for £300 a pop) they can reach across the veil and communicate with our recently lost. but when a medium told my mum that my grandmother wasn’t actually alone when she died, it burned away all logic that keeps my feet rooted to this scorched earth.

they say there are 5 stages of grief. it’s easy to assume that you move through them in the presented order and then you move on. but anyone who has experienced loss will tell you that these 5 stages occur in random orders, at random times and for random reasons.

we are mosaics of everyone we have loved. almost every brick that builds our lives was laid by someone else, in our accents, our favourite music, the foods that make us feel better after a bad day at work, the jokes we make with our siblings and our friends.

this is probably the most personal song I have released, and will ever release. I left a lot of myself out there and it’s terrifying. anything worth doing is worth doing well, and if you’re scared, do it anyway, just do it scared.

thank you for reading, thank you for listening and I’ll see you later 🌞

greetings to you and to all, hello. I am absolutely beside myself to announce that my third (3rd) single Too Emotional To Be A Cynic will be released everywhere (worldwide) on wednesday the 12th of august, which is exactly one week from now.

my mum got dragged to a psychic/medium performance a few months after the death of her mother, and while no one in my family takes particular notice of things like that, (because at best these people are highly skilled cold-readers who are great entertainers and at worst are nefarious parasites who prey on vulnerable, heartbroken, grieving people) this particular medium on this particular evening said some things which brought us as a family quite a lot of comfort, which is often (one of) the main thing(s) one needs when one has lost a loved one.

in other news, I was back in the studio last week working on new music, I made some red pesto (call me crazy but I’ve never really liked store-bought pesto), I’ve been making serious efforts to reduce my screen time and I’ve finally cracked the secret to the best tofu. I’m excited to soon abandon my music career and become an insufferable online food creator. anyway.

enjoy the rest of your week, and I’ll see you on friday for a beer 🌞
