Some jobs are just jobs. And then there are the ones that remind you why you became a storyteller in the first place. This is one of those. My Directors Cut for Dame Lisa Carrington, and, honestly, my favourite piece of work I’ve made to date. I wanted to capture Lisa beyond the medals and the titles. Her inherent relationship with water, nature and movement, but also the quiet moments in between - the whole person behind the athlete. There was something magic about spending those days in the water, chasing light and movement and trying to make something that felt as natural and instinctive as Lisa herself. I don’t say this lightly but I’m so proud of this one.
