We’ve received SO many comments about the music in 𝙄𝙣𝙖, and honestly, we couldn’t agree more. 🥹💛

Our beautiful score by @samueljamespankhurst quietly carries so much of the emotional world of 𝙄𝙣𝙖. There are moments that are almost impossible to imagine without the music underneath them – it’s become such a huge part of how the series feels.

Swipe through for a little look behind the music, plus some words from Sam about creating the score.

Thanks Sam for giving 𝙄𝙣𝙖 its heartbeat. 🫶🏽

So proud to announce the forthcoming release of Phosphenes by TL;DR on Earshift Music with the first single from the album, Impression I, out today. The album releases on November 6th and is available for pre-order now on digital and limited edition CD (link in bio).

TL;DR features the incredible Helen Svoboda (bass/voice), Theo Carbo (guitar/auto harp) and my son Quinn Knight (drums). The album was recorded at Florence Street Studios by Samuel Pankhurst who has really captured a distinctive sound.

Phosphenes follows up TL;DR’s ARIA nominated debut and takes its name from the shapes and colours you see when you close your eyes - the perception of light stimulated by something other than light. This is non-narrative music, patient and spacious, that works through repetition and slowly evolving melody and that allows the listener to focus on the internal. With an emphasis on overlapping rhythms this music also comes from nature drawing inspiration from the way sounds coincide and cross-hatch in a landscape, like two branches rubbing in the wind with crickets beating time against that pulse.

Greetings!
Happy to announce “Forest” is now out and fully available to listen and purchase (via bio) through @isthmus_music
With almost an hr of solo material on it, this is my deepest dive into the acoustic guitar yet. Improvised and recorded while on residency at @harriganslanecolab , I found myself gravitating towards some very faint hintings of “groove” within these sound worlds and really enjoyed leaning into the pixelated and cyclical feelings that came out in the music. Think the crackling of bark, breaking of fibres, falling of water but turned up to 10.
I hope you find something in this music, and please pass it on if you like it. I really appreciate your ears and support.

Made possible by the Harrigans Lane Collective, (Jocelyn and Bruce Wolfe , @erikgriswold6371 and @nessietomlinson ) and mastered by OG @samueljamespankhurst 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

*Announcing that PHILLIP PHILADELPHIA will premiere this August at MIFF 2026*

British screenwriter Phillip Philadelphia conducts a retiring life of fantasy, delusion and tawdry eroticism from a Gold Coast motel; meanwhile the ghosts of love and past glory begin to erode his web of reverie. Adam C. Briggs' take on the Gold Coast, screens in Melbourne. We'll see you on the Coast... (not really, we'll see you in Melb).

PHILLIP PHILADELPHIA | Super 16mm | Australia | 2026 | 72mins

Prepare to find the cast and crew hanging around Melbourne in August, to answer Q&A's, drink wine, and start small fires.

This has been a long time coming and a huge labour of love from us all, and @melbfilmfest feels like the right place to begin this film's journey.

What an unforgettably beautiful night 💛

Earlier this week, we gathered at @dendy.au with our cast, crew, families, friends, supporters, and members of the local Filipino community to celebrate 𝑰𝒏𝒂.

It was incredibly special to share the full series with an audience for the first time. Hearing people laugh, gasp, and shed genuine tears was deeply moving.

It’s hard to believe we were shooting this time last year. Seeing everyone come together was a beautiful reminder of how many hands and hearts helped bring this series to life.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, and to everyone who has been part of the journey. Episode 1 is now out – we’re so excited to finally start sharing it with you all. ✨
