Hey to all you new faces! 🩵

Meet Syd (right) and Sam (left), better known as The Love Club: a photo/video duo celebrating the PEOPLE of weddings.

The wedding photography and videography world is not new to us, but these last few years we've leaned into it in an entirely new way:

Full intention.
Insanely fun dance floors.
Presence > perfection.
Personal packages for every. wedding.
Knowing guest and family names!!
Asking questions.
Staying curious.
Celebrating photography as a personal art.
Loving hard.

Our style isn't for everyone, and that's kind of the point of art. ✨ But if you're here to be present, celebrated, and fully yourselves on your wedding day, baby there's a seat at the table!!

Looking back at September.

Moodboards for what’s next. The team hard at work on client projects. Progress at Stone & Steel and Retro Refinement. Plus, the office looking better than ever for its photoshoot. And a little pickleball too.

The work and the team behind it, all in one month.

We asked our team why they do this work. Their answer wasn’t a job title.

Travel. A wedding. The finer things in life. The people they’re building it all for.

The work matters. But so does the reason behind it (and yes, even when it’s an iced coffee addiction 😉).

By the time the camera’s out, most of the work is already done.

Scouting the shots, loading a U-Haul, unloading it again, placing rugs, adjusting furniture by the inch — knowing exactly where each piece belongs before it’s even in the room. This is Southern Charm, from a month of prep to the final styled shots.

I won’t lie, it took me about 20 minutes to figure out which photo to put first in this carousel. I went with my personal favorite:

Logan having the time of his life, cheesin’ so hard, Dakota requesting a song, Jen laughing and vibing with us all.

I had a consult call the other day where one of my couples asked, so which of your photos do you plan, they all look so natural?

I was so happy I could honestly tell her: none of them. They look natural because they are.

My job is to be present, to be with you on your wedding day. That’s where the beauty happens: when life is being lived.

The less I pose people and the more I engage, the better the photos are.

This is what Pinterest doesn’t show you.

Every pillow moved four times. Every piece placed, replaced, and placed again. Furniture shifted an inch, styling swapped, nothing left to chance. This is Southern Charm on photoshoot day, right before it becomes the finished shot.

Styling is its own kind of design work. Just one that happens fast, and usually off camera.

July, in pieces (and maybe a little of August).

Site walkthroughs. Material presentations. Photoshoots. Windows coming out, windows going in. A studio that never really stops moving.

All the little pieces of the work we love so much.
