Just 7 days to go and no sign of slowing! A huge thank you to everyone who has backed this - I have been overwhelmed with the amount of support, energy and positive feedback the project has received - and it shows no sign of slowing.

Six weeks go by in a flash - and that’s no time when you’re working to build a new home for leather here in Walsall. Some of the milestones I’ve reached:

-I’ve raised over £7000 towards setting up destination leather. I still don’t have a name for it. I hate the word hub. Anyway this is a massive step towards set up costs, legal costs, repairs and renovation. Every little bit raised plays a massive part in rolling out the revival!
- in-kind donations have been pouring in to the tune of five specialist leather machines, tons of storage and furniture, tools and leather. That’s a massive portion of what we could have spent and will help us get the teaching space set up so much quicker. Huge thank you to @ideal_saddles @bentleyslondon and everyone else who has helped us out! I can’t wait to welcome you to the space
- we’ve welcomed the iconic @yussico as first industry founding partner but he won’t be lonely at the top. We’re about to reveal our next one imminently!
-leather legends @michaelredwood and @billytannery join us as founding friends and I couldn’t think of a better band of revolutionaries quite frankly.
- got me a whole army of Walsall Wenches. Quite frankly, I’d be scared if I was in a significant position of power.
-conversations a plenty in the background as well as some really exciting upcoming talks and chats with @museumsassociation and International Leather Maker

We might seem a way off from the target but a lot can happen in a week. Even if we don’t reach it, what we do raise is already an amazing head start towards getting the space up and running as quickly as possible. All the additional support is a huge help towards that and we simply phase our launch to what the budget will allow. If you haven’t pledged and want to, please check out the link in the bio. And if time has taught us anything - it’s that when I say I’m doing something…I’m doing it!

Behind the scenes. Amazing experience to be able to be apart of the process on set capturing the raw, unedited work and watching it all come together.
