I Ran A Marathon!!!

My first full marathon which has been on my bucket list for years and happened to be with @kipchogeeliud 🙌🏽
Epic to see him racing while on course and listen to him this past week.

Started my back rehab journey back in March with the goal of the full in October.
We Did It!

My first goal was to just finish, second goal between 4-4.30. Slightly disappointed with a time of 4.31.22 but the knees played up and it was a tough push earlier than expected.

Epic support crew of friends & fam. Motivation that was truly needed! @_heidimiranda @joelconnell & kidlets loved the cheering & sign at 3 different points 🥹
As well as all the good luck wishes from friends & fam 🫶🏽

Europe trips seem to help with training ☺️

Diary of a reformed Sydney cynic

This muffin healed something in me. A transformative culinary experience savoured in the back of an uber between meetings. Apple and cinnamon and almond and yum yum yum. Perfection, no notes (but I have many). Equal parts moist and fluffy. Exceptional muffin top, crunchy and a little bit salty and a little bit sweet.

Aaaaand so I was excited to go back to Sydney (this is new) for more. Transformative, truly!! I feared my second trip wouldn’t hit like the first, but it was maybe better??? Banana and dark and milk choc CHUNKS and coconut. Muffin top off its head again.

I mean look at the craft of these women. Every inch of this cute space has been optimised. Made with loooooove. They also do a mean matcha (apparently, I don’t drink grass, respectfully)

The run that preceded the muffin moment. Thanks to Ben and Jesse for introducing me to Parami 💞💞💞 Only a short walk from The Ace too (now grieving all the missed Parami opportunities)

Working through my Sydney airport trauma

Obligatory miles along the white fence. So far as I understand it, you’re legit if you run inside the white fence, I’m standing where the horses trot, people walk and jog at sexy pace on the footpath and you rip sessions on the road

Yet to master the light switch situation at The Ace Hotel

Shooting for Can Am. Hanging with this guy for a few days was great. Learnt a lot and the scenery was spectacular. @canam_anz Vehicles were pushed hard and withstood the beating. Bring on the next one. @paulsutherlandphotocommercial

Three Aussies, three @canamonroad Rykers, nine hours of riding… summarised into this 20 second video. We decided to do a day trip to Joshua Tree during the few days we were in LA and whilst it was one of the most painful days of my life… it was worth it. I had somehow pinched a nerve in my neck and it was sending the most intense pain down my back 😖 Took a lot of painkillers, a strong (and highly overpriced) hotel coffee with a tablespoon of concrete and just sucked it up. American freeways are no joke but as soon as you hit those wind turbines and see the magic of Joshua Tree National Park, made it all worth it!!
