Why are more athletes getting injured now more than ever when the science and technology is trending up? Athletes are focusing on the wrong things, at the wrong time. Team lifts like squats and deadlifts, and conditioning alone won't cut it... Your off-season should differ a lot from your in season training. As soon as they get comfortable and take off the gas, we lose strength that was built. Week by week, you get weaker. But your body still thinks you can go 100% of what you had. There is no real off-season anymore, so neglecting your training when season starts is the worst thing you can do to yourself. That's like operating a lambo at full speed without maintaining the brake pads. It's extremely crucial to focus on maintaining and building strength throughout the season. Long term is the only way you will see lasting gains in strength and explosiveness in all planes of movement. Strength gains will start to diminish week by week per week when training is stopped altogether. If you want to have a long and successful career you HAVE to be addressing the extra work your body needs all year round. #basketballtraining #Speedtraining #jumpersknee #ACLrecovery #McLrecovery #vert #jumptraining #strengthandconditioning #614 #Ohio #Cbus #Injuryprevention #Mechanicsmatter
