behind the scenes: how to shape rainy moonlight in a forest scene. 🌲@samwordsworth_dop

@samwordsworth_dop Sam Wordsworth and his talented crew share a simple, clean, and repeatable approach to creating the moonlight they needed: an #evoke2400b with the PJ-NLM-15-30 projection attachment, combined with a LightBridge reflector mounted in the trees.

A simple set with a huge impact.

By bouncing the light instead of hitting the talent directly, they were able to:
• Maintain the directional quality of moonlight while keeping it natural
• Create smoother transitions between highlights and shadows
• Achieve precise control over exposure and the overall mood

This is the art of lighting the environment first, allowing the surroundings to support the actor, and using light to write the story before the character even appears.

Life in the mountains this week 🌞

Escapism and community don’t always have to be separate - the little towns and villages of Val Di Fassa are surrounded by rugged, wild mountains, but full of daily celebrations of Ladin tradition and culture. What a place to live 🦦

Also yes, I have the same stripey tshirt in 3 different colours 🫪 I love it ok! [AD]

Here’s a recent project we did with @maybemediahq for @letour_gb. We had to create a black box inside a velodrome to capture a ‘drive to survive’ style interview. Our best friend was the @thelightbridge CRLS 100cm Gen 2 reflector giving us maximum distance for natural light falloff inside a small black box. Read our full lighting breakdown on our website - link in our bio.

ngl I would 100% watch this reality show, would you?

Realised I haven’t shared any sort of recap from our FIFTH YEAR running the content at Rise Festival. I’ll do a proper round up soon… but safe to say it was a great year.

Finally had some pals come along, we smashed the content (which is already paying off big time in 2026 ticket sales) and just really built on and nailed the processes and creative ideas we’ve been building over the years.

V proud of everyone involved. Big love to @dgtlconcepts or media lovers + account manager spectacular @dgarnham 💘

@rise_festival on Film 🎞️

What a week! Thanks to @samwordsworth_dop and @meilz37 for inviting me out… and to the whole @dgtlconcepts crew for making me feel like part of the family. ❤️

I was on the video team this year but couldn’t help shooting some film as well!! Unfortunately my usual 35mm tapped out on the second day but luckily had some medium format with me also! ✨
