🔥 WHAT THE FIRE COULDN'T TAKE - OUT NOW 🔥

23rd October. The date my life flipped upside down.

Exactly one year ago today, I found the tumour that would change my life forever. I had no idea what was coming. The diagnosis, the chemotherapy, the surgery, the treatment, the physical and emotional battles, the losses, the fear, or the strength I'd have to find in places I never knew existed. Yet, somehow, the soundtrack to that journey had already been written.

Every song on this project was created before I knew I had cancer. Before I knew the battles I'd face. Before I knew just how much the words I'd written would come to mean to me. That's what makes this release so special.

These aren't songs written about cancer. They're songs about life. About struggling, questioning, believing, falling, getting back up, appreciating what you have and finding the courage to keep going when everything around you feels like it's falling apart.

Songs written by a past version of myself that, without knowing it, would one day help carry the person I am today.

What The Fire Couldn't Take is more than an EP to me. It's a reminder that even when life takes everything it can from you, there are things it simply cannot touch.Your voice. Your spirit. Your faith. Your love. Your ability to keep going.

I'm incredibly grateful to @samxvi whose talent, production, creativity and belief in our music helped bring this project together. He took years of our work, both released and unreleased, and helped shape something that tells a story neither of us could have anticipated when we first made these records.

To everyone who has supported me, my family, my recovery and my music throughout this past year, thank you. Whether you've sent a message, checked in, shared a song, watched a video or simply been there, you've helped me through more than you know.

Today, I'm not celebrating what happened to me a year ago. I'm celebrating everything it couldn't take from me.

Ten tracks. One story. A lifetime of meaning ❤️

🎶WHAT THE FIRE COULDN'T TAKE🔥

23.10.2026 | ABBY POWER X SAMXVI

Some projects tell a story. Others become a story you never knew you were telling.

This Friday, we release my first musical project since 2024. Ten tracks about perseverance, faith, struggle and finding light in the darkness.

The remarkable thing? Much of this music was written long before my cancer diagnosis. Somehow, the words of my past self became exactly what my present self needed to hear. Music written by the person I was, for the person I'd become.

This trailer brings together everything we've created. 🎶 all ten tracks, 🎬 five music videos (3 new), 📰 reviews and press coverage, and 👕 new merchandise.

Behind so much of it is the incredible @samxvi . Producer, engineer, curator, featured artist and co-writer. His talent and creativity helped turn years of music into something that means more to me than I can explain.

The trailer ends with a reminder of what this project represents: Survival.

The fire changed me, but it didn't take everything ❤️
On 23rd October, exactly one year since I discovered my tumour, this project finally finds its way into the world.

Thank you to everyone who's supported us, listened, shared or simply been there.

🎬 COUNT BLESSINGS - OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO OUT NOW! ❤️🙏🏻

Anddddd just like that, we've reached the third and final new visual from What The Fire Couldn't Take! 🥹

Count Blessings has always been a special song to me. It's one that opened doors, introduced me to new listeners, collaborators and opportunities, and gave me memories I'll always be grateful for. But revisiting it now, after everything this past year has thrown at me, the words carry an entirely different weight.

Sometimes life has a way of reminding you just how much you have to be grateful for, even when it feels like everything is falling apart. This song was written long before I knew what was coming, but somehow it feels like a message from the person I was then to the person I am today ❤️

I'm incredibly proud to have brought these three visuals to life, and even more grateful to everyone who's watched, shared, commented or supported them along the way.

A huge thank you, as always, to @samxvi whose talent and creativity have been at the heart of this entire project.

When @samxvi and I released this song in 2024, I never imagined I'd be approaching 2027 still saying the same things. Still watching the suffering and devastation across Palestine.

But more people are waking up. Asking questions. Refusing to look away.

I'm now in direct contact with two families in Palestine. REAL people, with names, faces, hopes and dreams. Parents and children doing everything they can simply to survive.

I'm re-releasing this song on streaming platforms and pledging 100% of my streaming earnings from it to these families.

But please hear me: I'd rather you donated directly than streamed the song to help them.

Streaming royalties are tiny. Thousands of plays can earn just a few pounds. Even £5 donated directly can make a more immediate difference, and if you can't donate, sharing their fundraisers costs nothing.

I'm also pledging to donate personally to BOTH families every month, from my own wages, for as long as I'm financially able. Not music income. Not fundraising. My own pay.

I can't save everyone. None of us can alone. But doing something, however small, is better than doing nothing.
When my time here ends, I want to know I tried. That I made someone's life a little easier. That I didn't just watch suffering unfold and turn away.

Whatever our religion, nationality or language, compassion should have no borders. Humanity should never be conditional. From Palestine to Sudan, Congo, Iran and beyond, innocent people bear the consequences of decisions made by those in power.

We may not be able to change everything individually. But collectively, we can make a difference.

NONE OF US ARE FREE UNTIL WE ARE ALL FREE.

❤️ THE TWO FAMILIES I'M SUPPORTING:

@khaleelmikawi https://gofund.me/238cefaae

@familyghassanalkafarna https://chuffed.org/project/ghassan

Please donate if you can. If you can't, share.

🎵 Free Palestine 2026 re-release. 100% of my streaming earnings pledged to these families. Out now.

Humanity first. Always. ❤️🇵🇸

🎥🎥 Our third and final new visual to accompany the release of What The Fire Couldn't Take will be released this Friday!
Count Blessings is one of my favourite songs from my catalogue and the prospect of it reaching new audiences again is super exciting!

Fun fact, I actually paid an animator £400 a few years ago to make a video for this (this is what he quoted for the spec given) and then he fucked off with it 😭🤣 no video, no money. Now I've created my own. Funny world. Are you even a creative if someone hasn't stung you like this before? 🤣

Anyway, I'm super super excited for this one, it's an awesome song and I hope you all enjoy the new mix and the video too!

🎶🎶 Massive shout out @pophits.co & Esther Winslow for the awesome write up on Ghosts. This comes at a really great time because Ghosts is being re-released on What The Fire Couldn't Take on the 23rd October.

Ghosts has been given a new lease of life thanks to the talent of @samxvi as always, and I'm excited it's getting to (hopefully) reach a new audience!

You can listen to the original released version on all digital streaming platforms now 😊

"Ghosts deals with the complexities of self-discovery and the struggle to stay authentic in a world full of illusions. It is introspective first, yet it never drifts far from the sharp social commentary that runs through her work. Her catalogue shows the same instinct elsewhere, most plainly on Free Palestine"

Which will be released on all digital streaming platforms 23.10.2026

This is one of the singles from the EP that we've never released before so you'll all be experiencing this one for the first time. Sam did an unreal job with putting this one together, getting backing vocals orchestrated and just everything that went into it, I'll be forever grateful.

I hope you all love it as much as I do! 🥰
